And there’s more new announcements from iam8bit today as Double Fine just announced that the two of them have partnered up for releasing Peter McConnell’s soundtracks to Psychonauts and Broken Age on vinyl.
For now all they’ve disclosed is that the two soundtracks will be available at PAX West in exclusive editions limited to 500 each (see images below) and that iam8bit will have non-exclusive versions up on their site soon.
The PAX exclusive Psychonauts release will be a single LP on “brain splatter” colored vinyl with artwork by Lunar Saloon.
The PAX exclusive Broken Age release will be a 2LP release in a gatefold jacket with one record on “Vella” pink and “Shay” blue marbled vinyl with artwork by Nathan “Bagel” Stapley.
Both PAX releases will be limited to 500 copies and include both a game download and a download for the digital copy of the soundtrack.
This post will be updated as soon as there are more news available on the non-exclusive variants.
UPDATE: Non-exclusive variants were announced on September 8 and will feature Psychonauts on pink vinyl available in the US here and in the UK/EU here.
Broken Age will come on orange and clear vinyl and will be available in the US here and the UK/EU here.
Both are scheduled to release October, 2016.
