New Xenosaga piano arrangement can be backed on vinyl via a Wayô Records Kickstarter campaign

Wayô Records have launched a Kickstarter campaign for a new Xenosaga arrangement album – titled Across The Kosmos – and it includes a vinyl reward at some of its tiers.

If successful, the release will be a 2LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Kiyoshi Arai. It will include a booklet with commentary from the people involved with the release.

The campaign is open from now and until April 12, 2024. The vinyl reward starts at €50 and if it’s successful it is scheduled to begin shipping in December, 2024. It can be backed on Kickstarter here.

Sea Of Stars vinyl soundtrack now up for preorder from iam8bit

iam8bit have opened up public preorders for the long-awaited vinyl soundtrack to indie role-playing game Sea Of Stars. It had previously only been available to preorder for Kickstarter backers of the game in a slightly different variant.

The release will be a 2LP on “solar” orange and “lunar” blue colored vinyl. It will be housed in a jacket with new artwork by Bryce Kho. Orders placed with iam8bit will also include a download of the full digital soundtrack.

It is priced at $43 and is scheduled to release in Q3 2024. It can be preordered from iam8bit here.

Chrono Trigger J-core arrangement “Dreamseeker” now up for vinyl preorder

New label TAS Records are releasing the Chrono Trigger J-core arrangement album “Dreamseeker” on vinyl.

The release will be a 2LP on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a jacket with new artwork by Frank Attmannspacher. It will also include a UV-printed slipmat. It will be limited to 200 copies.

It is priced at $63 and is in-hand and will start shipping late January, 2023. It can be ordered from TAS Records here.

Chrono Trigger piano arrangement album up for vinyl preorder from Materia Collective

Materia Collective are releasing the Chrono Trigger piano arrangement album “Piano Collections: Chrono Trigger” on vinyl.

The release will be a single 180g LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a jacket with artwork by Nora Kristiansen and will include a 12-page booklet with liner notes and additional art. It will be a pressing of 1500 copies.

Chrono Trigger orchestral arrangement Symphony Of Zeal now available from Mana Wave

Mana Wave have just opened orders for the orchestral Chrono Trigger arrangement album “Symphony Of Zeal” on vinyl. The album is a compilation of sorts of Malcolm Robinson’s Chrono Trigger: Orchestral Selections Vols. I and II.

The release will be a 2LP available in four color variants:
– “The Fallen Kingdom” brown and blue marble (500 copies)
– “Demon King” violet and white marble (300 copies)
– Gold nugget (100 copies)
– 180g black (100 copies)
It will be housed in a tip-on gatefold jacket with new artwork by Cathy Kwan.

It is priced at $45 and is in hand and ready to ship. It can be ordered from Mana Wave here.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition vinyl release now up for preorder

Square Enix are releasing a selection of tracks from the remastered soundtrack to the upcoming Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition on vinyl.

The release appears to be a single LP. There aren’t any details on the packaging just yet other than the front art (see bottom of post).

It is priced at ¥4180 and is scheduled to release on June 22, 2022. It is available to preorder from the Japanese Square Enix store here (domestic shipping only) and also available via CDJapan here. Presumably it will also be available via the Western Square Enix stores at a later time.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - Front

Chrono Cross piano collection LP Kickstarter from Wayô live now

Wayô Records have launched a Kickstarter campaign for the recording of a new Chrono Cross piano collection album titled “Across The Worlds”.

The album will be arranged by Masashi Hamauzu, Mariam Abounassr, and Akio Noguchi and performed by Benyamin Nuss.

The vinyl release of the album will be a 2LP on 180g dark blue colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new art by Kiyoshi Arai. It will come with a booklet with liner notes and comments by the team involved with the project.

The campaign runs from June 7, 2020 and ends on July 7, 2020 and is looking to raise €25,000. The cheapest vinyl tier is priced at €50. If the campaign is successful they are expecting to release the album in December, 2020.

Chrono Trigger arrangement EP now available from Yetee Records

Yetee Records are teaming up with Materia Collective once again. This time to release an arrangement EP with new takes on the music of classic JRPG Chrono Trigger. This new release titled Guardia: The X-Strike Sessions will be the second in their X-series following their Star Fox EP from last year.

The EP will feature music from R23X, Lena Raine, Smooth McGroove, Joel Corelitz, Equip, Slim Girls, and bryface.

It will be a 10″ on yellow vinyl with red splatter. It comes in a 10″ jacket with lenticular artwork by Drew Wise. The release is limited to 500 copies.

The EP is priced at $30 and is scheduled to begin shipping around April 10, 2020. It can be preordered from The Yetee here.

Materia Collective ready with new Chrono Cross arrangement LP

Materia Collective have announced that they will be releasing the new Chrono Cross arrangement album Parallelus by David Peacock on vinyl.

The release will be a single black vinyl LP cut at 45RPM. It will come in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Leon Tukker. The first run will be an edition of 500 copies.

It is priced at $30 and is scheduled to release in January, 2020. It can be preordered from Materia Collective’s Bandcamp here.

Square Enix to release Xenogears Shinkaku 2LP

Square Enix have announced that they will be releasing a Xenogears 2LP titled Xenogears Vinyl -Shinkaku-. The release will contain a selection of tracks from the two arranged albums “Myth” and “Creed” as well as some original tracks from the album “Xenogears Original Soundtrack Revival Disc -The First And The Last-“.

The release will be a 2LP. Not much info have been disclosed on the packaging yet outside of the cover art (see bottom).

It is priced at ￥4,320 and is scheduled to release on October 24, 2018. It is available via the official Japanese Square Enix store here, but also on Amazon Japan for international customers.
