About blip blop
blip blop is a site dedicated to finding and listing all video game music releases on vinyl and I believe that blip blop is currently the biggest directory for these specific releases.
Data isn’t added or found using crawlers, but by good old manual internet searching. Each release is manually added to the site to ensure that the data is as correct as possible based on the available sources.
As a stand-alone “Thank You”-page seems excessive I’d just like to throw a few shoutouts here. First of all – thanks to Games On Wax on Twitter for helping me with his incredible knowledge of video game music releases on vinyl. The site and its content has improved vastly with your help!
A massive thank you to the wonderful users of the WordPress StackExchange for helping me out whenever I had stupid questions about php or my coding skills were insufficient. Using the site would have felt like browsing on a dial-up connection if it weren’t for you!
And finally – a massive thank you to all of you who send supportive messages, tips about new and missing releases, or simply use blip blop. You guys are great and make it all worth it 🙂
About rpbtz
I’ve been a fan of video games ever since I was a kid. In my teens I discovered the joy of music – and not just listening, but also owning a physical copy of your favorite album and sitting curled up in a corner reading the liner notes and lyrics with great admiration of the work that was put into everything.
As a kid of the 90s those liner notes were found in CD covers and printed with text for ants. In recent years I’ve been getting more and more into vinyl records to the point where I dedicate a whole lot of time into researching new releases and discussing the format with friends and online.
And to make things better – I discovered the growing trend of releasing video game soundtracks on vinyl, which is something I am a big fan of! Therefore I decided to make and dedicate this site entirely to this niche that appeals to both my inner gamer and my inner music fan and collector. I hope you will find it informative and enjoy its content as much as I enjoy making it.
