The release is a 2LP on black vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with game art alongside liner notes by composer Chris Hülsbeck.
Orders opened on August 21, 2024 at Black Screen Records’ Gamescom booth and was made available for general purchase afterwards.

The project launched May 31, 2017 and ended succesfully on June 18, 2017 with more than $90,000 in funding of an $85,000 goal.

Chris Hülsbeck, the composer for Turrican II, have launched a Kickstarter for an orchestral version of his score for the game. The Kickstarter aims to release the orchestral recording in a limited edition box set containing the recording on CD and 2LP.
The box sets are individually numbered and limited to 1000 copies.
The campaign was launched on May 10, 2016 and was succesfully funded on May 28. The box set shipped out to backers in April 2017.
