On January 2, 2018 Super Soul Bros. replied to a tweet asking for a vinyl version of their Motherlode album saying there will be one “in the next month or two”.
Motherlode is a jazz/funk arrangement of music from the MOTHER trilogy.
As of late December 2019 it’s been more than a month or two, and there’s not been any more info on whether this is still planned.
Giovanni Rotondo launched an Indiegame campaign for an album of video game cover tracks. The campaign was aiming to raise £10,000 by December 24, 2017 for a symphonic recording of the album.
While the campaign failed to reach its goal, the album is still coming out (just without the symphonic parts).
It is a single LP housed in a regular LP jacket with artwork by Jeff Langevin.
It was released by Enjoy The Toons Records on May 5, 2018.

The soundtrack was composed by Hirokazu Tanaka and Keiichi Suzuki (with two tracks also composed by Hiroshi Kanazu). This vinyl version features the same music and tracklisting as the 1994 CD release.
This release was announced in August 2015 and started shipping mid-February 2016.
This release was made in four different variants. This is the Giygas variant on red, orange and black marble.
This variant was originally meant to be on black vinyl with a red swirl, but due to an error at the pressing plant it was pressed with a different effect and slightly different colors. It was dubbed as the “Mach Pizza” variant by fans.
To make up for the pressing error everyone who ordered this version received a copy of the exclusive poster that was meant only to be given to those who backed the MOTHER Kickstarter.
