Data Discs have released the soundtrack to OutRun on vinyl. The release is newly remastered and contains tracks from the Arcade, Mega Drive/Genesis, and Nintendo 3DS versions of the game.
Data Discs announced that they would release the soundtrack to OutRun back in September 2015. On June 21, 2016 they announced that they would release the album as part of the game’s 30th anniversary.
Preorders opened on June 25, 2016 and copies started shipping out on July 18, 2016.
This is the limited edition version on mint green, clear, and pink 3-striped vinyl. 50 of the limited edition copies were hand-numbered and signed by composer Hiroshi Kawaguchi. These copies were shipped out at random to people who preordered the release.
