King’s Chill Vol. 3 – Vibe Today, Chill Tomorrow

Two Guys Records have released the lofi/chillwave King’s Quest arrangement album “King’s Chill Vol. 3 – Vibe Today, Chill Tomorrow” on vinyl.

The release is a single LP on purple with yellow and red splatter colored vinyl. It is housed in a single-pocket jacket with photography by Sarah & Ben Kelley and design by Mike Pumphrey and Troels Pleimert. It is limited to 200 copies.

Preorders opened on July 22, 2024 and it was scheduled to release in November, 2024, but was delayed and began shipping in January, 2025.

Pixel Road

Two Guys Records have released a charity EP with arranged music from Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist, The Dagger Of Amon Ra, and Leisure Suit Larry In The Land Of The Lounge Lizards on vinyl after a successful Qrates campaign.

The release is a 33RPM 7″ on “ivory” cream with orange splatter colored vinyl. It is housed in a regular 7″ jacket with design by Steve Coupe.

The campaign ran from September 8 to October 8, 2022. It was scheduled to release 2-3 months after the campaign ended, but was delayed a little before releasing in March, 2023.

King’s Quest V – Songs Of Serenia

Two Guys Records have released the King’s Quest V arrangement album Songs Of Serenia on vinyl after having it successfully funded via a Qrates campaign.

The release is a 2LP with one record on orange and green split colored vinyl and the other on red and blue split colored vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Bruce Brenneise, Al Eufrasio, and Steve Coupe.

The campaign ran from March 3 to April 3, 2022 and it released in August, 2022.

King’s Chill Vol. 2 – To Chill Is Human, To Vibe Is Divine

Two Guys Records have released the second entry in the King’s Quest lofi/electronica arrangement series on vinyl. It was funded via a Qrates crowdfunding campaing.

The release is a single LP on heavyweight “ivory” yellow and “sky” light blue split colored vinyl. It is housed in a regular LP jacket with sleeve design by EpicPotatoFiend.

The campaign ran between November 10 – December 10, 2021 and it was scheduled to begin shipping out 2-3 months after it ended. However, it was delayed and began shipping out in early June, 2022.

King’s Chill Vol. 1 – Vibin’ Makes The Soul Go Higher

Space Quest Historian launched a Qrates campaign for a vinyl release of the King’s Quest lo-fi/electronica arrangement album King’s Chill. It was successfully funded on May 5, 2021.

The release is a single LP on blue and green swirl colored vinyl. It is housed in a single-pocket jacket with photography by EpicPotatoFiend and Jon Paul Sapsford and sleeve design by Troels Pleimert.

The campaign ran from April 5 to May 5, 2021 and it was scheduled to release 2-3 months after the campaign ended, but was delayed and released in mid-October, 2021.

Space Quest IV Reorchestrated: Galaxy Galleria EP

The Space Quest Historian did a Qrates campaign for a companion EP to his Space Quest IV reorchestrated album. This EP includes tracks that were cut from the album’s vinyl release due to the album otherwise being too long for a single LP.

It is a 7″ EP on white with red splatter colored vinyl cut at 45RPM. It comes in a regular 7″ jacket with graphic design by Brandon Blume.

The Qrates campaign launched on January 12, 2020 end ended successfully on March 1, 2020. It began shipping out in late May, 2020.

Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco And The Time Rippers

Space Quest Historian did a Qrates campaign for a remixed and reorchestrated version of the Space Quest IV soundtrack on vinyl.

The release is a single LP on black with blue swirl colored vinyl. It comes in a regular LP jacket with upscaled game art.

The Qrates campaign launched on January 12, 2020 and ended succesfully on March 2, 2020. The release began shipping out in late May, 2020.

Under The Half Dome

Ken Allen, former Sierra composer, started a Kickstarter for a new album called “Under The Half Dome”. The album features new music based on compositions he’s made for games between 1989 and 1996.

A full tracklist for the album was posted on Allen’s website shortly before the Kickstarter ended.

A vinyl version of the album was included for backers at the $125 tier. The Kickstarter launched on January 22, 2013 and was succesfully funded on February 21, 2013 with just over twice as much as the initial goal. Estimated delivery for the vinyl version was estimated in August 2013.

As of March 2016 there are no indication that the vinyl version (or even the album) was ever finished. Some backer-only updates on Kickstarter titled “Refunds” could be an indication that the project either was cancelled or simply an offer for backers to get a refund if they’re not interested in waiting any longer.
