Sea Of Stars: Wellspring Genesis Original Soundtrack

The Kickstarter campaign for the game Sea Of Stars included a vinyl soundtrack reward as part of the $160 CAD “A hero to be remembered” backer tier. The vinyl release will be handled by iam8bit.

It appears to be a 2LP release on orange and light blue translucent colored vinyl, but it is not certain that this is final.

This is a Kickstarter exclusive colorway, but it appears that a retail variant will also be made available for purchase eventually.

The Kickstarter campaign ended in April, 2020 and rewards were scheduled to begin shipping in March, 2022. However, the game released has been pushed to mid-2023, so presumably vinyl rewards won’t be shipping until after that.

The Messenger

The developers of the game The Messenger said in Twitch chat that they were working with iam8bit on a 2LP vinyl release for the game’s soundtrack.

On March 14, 2019 iam8bit announced that they would be releasing this on vinyl.

The release is a 2LP on “past” purple and “future” blue colored vinyl. It comes in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Peter Mohrbacher. It is limited to 3000 copies.

Preorders opened on March 14, 2019 and it released in early June, 2019.
