Gremlin: Music Ahead Of It’s Time

33 Games are releasing a compilation of music from games developed by Gremlin Graphics on vinyl.

The release will be a single LP on green translucent colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new art. It will be limited to 250 copies.

Preorders opened on May 22, 2026 and it is scheduled to release in Summer, 2026.

The Lord Of Dragonspire Vs. Kentilla

Zzap! 64 Records have released the themes from The Lord Of Dragonspire and Kentilla on vinyl as a bonus for vinyl backers of the Soulless I & II Kickstarter campaign.

The release is a 12″ 45RPM maxi on black vinyl. It is housed in a regular jacket with new artwork by Trevor Storey. It is limited to 300 numbered copies.

It was only available as part of the Kickstarter campaign, which ran from June 7 to July 7, 2021. It was scheduled to release in January, 2022, but was delayed and released in early August, 2022.

Hubbard ’80

The Kickstarter campaign for Project Hubbard, which was a project of creating multiple remix and arrangement albums of Rob Hubbard music along with a book, included a vinyl option for one of the albums.

The Hubbard 80 album is arranged by Rob Hubbard himself alongside Marcel Donné and features tracks arranged as if they were played in 1979 with modular synths, strings and horns.

The release is a black vinyl 2LP. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with design by Ian Flory, Thomas Finnerup and Chris Abbott.

The campaign launched on October 5, 2017 with a goal of £50,000 and ended on November 5, 2017 with more than £80,000 in funding.

Physical rewards were scheduled to ship out in April 2019, but the whole album recording was delayed. It arrived with the label in July 2022, however most album jackets were damaged on arrival. It began shipping out with fixed jackets in late September, 2022.

Reformation 2

Matt Gray launched a Kickstarter for his Reformation 2 project, which included a vinyl option. The album features covers of other C64 composers’ music performed by Matt Gray.

The campaign was launched on April 8, 2017 and was succesfully funded and ended on April 30, 2017.

In late 2018 Matt Gray finished a Reformation 3 campaign that was intended to collect funds for the finishing of physical goods for Reformation/LN2 and Reformation 2.

The release is a 3LP on black vinyl. It is housed in a triple gatefold jacket with design by Sam Dyer and Ian Flory as well as game screenshots.

Vinyl rewards were scheduled for a September 2018 release, but were delayed multiple times before finally shipping in early July, 2022.

SID Chip Sounds: The Music Of The Commodore 64

2LP released in 2012 by Robot Elephant Records. It contains 19 tracks from the games Last Ninja, Trap, Giana Sisters, Katakis, Glider Rider, Panther, Gauntlet III: The Final Quest, LED Storm, Cybernoid 2, Wizball, Comic Bakery, Parallax, Arkanoid, Dominator, Last Ninja II, Commando, and Sanxion.

Input64: A Collection Of Commodore 64 Game Music 1984-1989

2LP released in 2001 by Enduro and L’Age D’Or. It comes with a 24-page booklet. The sound on this wasn’t recorded from a real C64 but from a PC emulating the SID sound chip from the C64. It contains 19 tracks from the games Turbo Outrun, BMX Kidz, Alloy Run, Kinetix, Boulder Dash, The Last Ninja, Crazy Comets, Yie Ar Kung-Fu, Bubble Bobble, Arkanoid, One Man And His Droid, Insects In Space, Boulder Dash II: Rockford’s Revenge, Starball, and Monty On The Run.

It should be noted that the songs on this release were not captured from a real Commodore 64, but from a PC emulator.

Project Sidologie Revolutions

During a succesful Kickstarter campaign, for a Commodore 64 music compilation done in the style of Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis and created by C64Audio, backers could opt for a double vinyl option.

The release is a 2LP housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Trevor Storey. It is limited to 250 numbered copies.

It was originally intended to release in February, 2016, but the entire campaign underwent some pretty hefty manufacturing delays, meaning it didn’t release until March, 2019.
