Life Force

On February 7, 2018 Ship To Shore PhonoCo. announced that they will be releasing the soundtrack to Salamander (also known as Life Force) on vinyl.

It features the Famicom/NES soundtrack on one side and the MSX soundtrack on the other.

The release is a single LP. It comes in a regular LP jacket with new artwork by T-Bone & Aljax. It includes a 12″x24″ poster with liner notes by Anthony John Agnello on one side and artwork on the other.

Preorders opened on March 24, 2020.

This is the clear with orange splatter colored edition. It was available exclusively from Ship To Shore PhonoCo. It began shipping in May, 2020 after being delayed due to COVID-19.

This is the “Salamander” green translucent with black swirl colored edition. It is limited to 125 copies available exclusively from Debug Records. It began shipping in early/mid-April, 2020.

Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest

Mondo have released Kenichi Matsubara, Satoe Terashima, and Kouji Murata’s soundtrack to Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest.

On January 9, 2017 they announced the release date along with details. It featurse new artwork by Eric Powell and be a gatefold like the first release.

Mondo began taking orders on January 11, 2017 and started shipping shortly after.

This is the retail variant on black vinyl.

Mondo have released Konami Kukeiha Club’s score to the 1986 game Castlevania on vinyl. They announced that they would be releasing it on March 28, 2016 by posting a 6 second sound clip from the score and later confirming the release on Twitter.

The release is a 10″ with album art by Becky Cloonan.

This is the Mondo webstore exclusive variant on grey with black and white splatter colored vinyl. Orders opened on August 3, 2016.

Castlevania

Mondo have released Konami Kukeiha Club’s score to the 1986 game Castlevania on vinyl. They announced that they would be releasing it on March 28, 2016 by posting a 6 second sound clip from the score and later confirming the release on Twitter.

The release is a 10″ with album art by Becky Cloonan.

This is the San Diego Comic-Con exclusive variant of the release which was released on July 21, 2016. It comes on grey/red split colored vinyl and is limited to 1000 copies.

Live At Symphony Hall

The Video Game Orchestra launched a Kickstarter for a live album of video game music titled “Live At Symphony Hall” which included a vinyl tier at $250.

The Kickstarter was launched on August 29, 2012 and was succesfully funded on October 9, 2012. The vinyl version was estimated to ship in April 2013.

As of March 2016 the album has launched digitally and on CD, but no vinyl version were made. The band did show interest in a vinyl version in a Facebook post from May 2015.

Brass 2: Mouth

This album features rock covers of video game music by Minibosses from games such as Excite Bik, The Legend Of Zelda, Ghosts N’ Goblins, Kid Icarus, Super Mario Bros. 3, and more. It was self-released by the band in 2011.

It is limited to 437 hand-numbered copies and was released by the band itself.
