iam8bit have released a collection of music from various Rare games on vinyl in celebration of the studio’s 40th anniversary.
The release is a 4LP on orange marble, blue marble, red marble and purple marble “Shades of Rareware” colored vinyl.
It is housed in an open-lid box set with printed jackets all with artwork by Lewy Jones. It also comes with a Rare logo zoetrope felt slipmat.
Orders opened on August 7, 2025 and it began shipping out shortly after.
Respawned Records announced on Instagram that they would be releasing a metal arrangement album of Battletoads on vinyl.
The release is a single LP on orange translucent with black splatter colored vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Satterion. It is a pressing of 500 copies.
Orders opened on December 11, 2021 and it began shipping out shortly after.

This is the green colored vinyl version, which was sold exclusively from Rare Games’ store. It features a standard gatefold, but has spot varnish applied to the front and back jacket artwork.
