Fangamer and Double Fine announced a reprint of the score to the game Brütal Legend in late 2020.
The release is a single LP on black with white splatter colored vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Lee Patty. It is limited to 666 copies and will come with a poster signed by the game’s director Tim Schafer.
It was initially meant to go up for order in February, 2021, but was delayed multiple times and went up for order on July 23, 2021. It began shipping shortly after.
Double Fine included a 7″ with the track “Corpse Of Hope” by Tainted Coil from the game Brütal Legend in their Pack Of Brütality – a special edition of sorts for the game.
Supposedly they made 666 copies on red vinyl. According to forums some copies were also given away with orders from the Double Fine store.
The original score by Peter McConnell was released by Double Fine Productions. Despite being called a soundtrack this release doesn’t feature any of the metal songs used in the game.
