Arcade Classics Volume Three

Ship To Shore PhonoCo. are releasing a series of compilation albums with music from Taito arcade games.

Back in February 2016 they revealed that Bubble Bobble, Gun Frontier and PuLiRuLa would be on one of these. In an interview with GamesRadar in December 2016 it was revealed that Bubble Symphony and RayForce will also be included.

On December 1, 2017 Ship To Shore posted a video of a test pressing of this release playing a track from PuLiRuLa and stating it would be released in early 2018.

It is a single LP and is housed in a gatefold jacket with art from the games. The gatefold features liner notes by Jeremy Parish.

Preorders opened on April 12, 2018 and it released mid-May 2018.

The is the version on blue opaque vinyl. It was available exclusively via VinylDigital and is limited to 300 copies.

Captain Power / Bubble Bobble / Flinthook

Ship To Shore PhonoCo. and Yetee Records partnered up to release a 7″ flexi disc with music from upcoming vinyl relases.

It was initially given away to customers at Ship To Shore’s booth at MondoCon 2017, but were later included with orders from The Yetee and Ship To Shore’s web stores.

Phantom / Game Boys

A 12″ containing remade versions of Bubble Bobble music alongside a video game medley by the duo Game Boys was released on Full Time Records in 1993.

Input64: A Collection Of Commodore 64 Game Music 1984-1989

2LP released in 2001 by Enduro and L’Age D’Or. It comes with a 24-page booklet. The sound on this wasn’t recorded from a real C64 but from a PC emulating the SID sound chip from the C64. It contains 19 tracks from the games Turbo Outrun, BMX Kidz, Alloy Run, Kinetix, Boulder Dash, The Last Ninja, Crazy Comets, Yie Ar Kung-Fu, Bubble Bobble, Arkanoid, One Man And His Droid, Insects In Space, Boulder Dash II: Rockford’s Revenge, Starball, and Monty On The Run.

It should be noted that the songs on this release were not captured from a real Commodore 64, but from a PC emulator.

Taito Game Music

LP released in 1987 by G.M.O. Records. It features 15 tracks from the games The Legend Of Kage, Space Invaders, Elevator Action, Super Dead Heat II, Wyvern F-0, The Fairyland Story, Gladiator, Kiki Kaikai, Scramble Formation, Arkanoid, Chack’n Pop, Empire City 1931, Bubble Bobble, Halley’s Comet, and Outer Zone.
