Xeno Cross

Sam Dillard have announced that his Xenogears and Chrono Cross tribute arrangement “Xeno Cross” will be released on vinyl.

It was scheduled to release in 2022, but there has been no specific news about a release estimate since.

Across The Worlds ~ Chrono Cross Wayô Piano Collection

Wayô Records launched a Kickstarter in order to fund a Chrono Cross piano arrangement album, which included a vinyl option.

The release is a 2LP on black vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with art design and illustation by Kiyoshi Arai.

The Kickstarter was succesfully funded on July 7, 2020 and vinyl rewards were scheduled to release in December, 2020, but had multiple delays and released in early October, 2021.

The vinyl color was originally advertised as being blue, but was changed to black over quality concerns.

Parallelus

Materia Collective have released the Chrono Cross arrangement album Parallelus on vinyl.

The release is a 45RPM LP. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Leon Tukker.

Preorders opened on November 18, 2019 and it was scheduled to release in January, 2020. However, it was delayed and didn’t release until August, 2020 due to manufacturing issues and the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the “Ocean” blue translucent with black swirl variant. It was limited to 125 copies available exclusively from Respawned Records.

Cross Symphonic – A Symphonic Tribute To ‘Chrono Cross’

John Paul Hayward launched a Kickstarter for a symphonic arrangement of music from the game Chrono Cross, which included vinyl options starting at the $80 tier.

The Kickstarter launched three times – first one was cancelled, second one failed, but the third time it was succesful.

The release is a 2LP with one record on blue marbled and the other on clear with black smoke colored vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Rowye and all copies are individually numbered.

Vinyl rewards were scheduled to ship out in April, 2020, but a combination of manufacturing issues and the COVID-19 pandemic have caused some delays and it began shipping out to backers in mid-July, 2021.

Symphonic Fantasies Tokyo – Music From Square Enix

Laced Records have released Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra’s Symphonic Fantasies Tokyo on vinyl.

The album is a 3LP on black vinyl with new art by Johnni Di-Doi and Petherton Press. It features arranged music from the games Kingdom Hearts I & II, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Final Fantasy I-VII + X.

Preorders opened on October 25, 2016 and released mid-December 2016.

To Far Away Times: Chrono Trigger & Chrono Cross Arrangement Album (ハルカナルトキノカナタヘ)

Square Enix will be releasing an album with arranged versions of some of Yasunori Mitsuda’s music for these titles.

It was set to be released on December 15, 2015, but due to a manufacturing issue it was delayed to early January, 2016.

Japanese copies were shipped with three discs as they did not remove the faulty disc from the release. However, a disc with the fault corrected was also included with those copies. The fault was simply that the track order on Side D was incorrect.

The EU Square Enix Store only had 150 copies to sell. The NA Store didn’t open up for pre-orders until February, 2016 (with expected release late March same year).
