The release is a 2LP. It is housed in a single-pocket jacket with printed inner sleeves featuring artwork by id Software and illustrations by Jason Williford.
Preorders opened on August 10, 2023 and it released in January, 2024.

Two Guys Records launched a vinyl crowdfunding campaign for their arrangement album C:\DOS>RUN.
They first launched it via Diggers Factory on December 8, 2022 where it was planned to release on 140g clear with black splatter colored vinyl. They actively cancelled this campaign over concerns of shipping costs to the US.
They since relaunched a campaign via Qrates on January 5, 2022 – this time on black vinyl. This campaign failed to meet its funding requirement of at least 200 backed copies, though.
On October 26, 2018 Spacelab9 announced that they would be releasing the soundtrack to Quake II on vinyl. However, the composer later revealed that the deal went through as they couldn’t get the rights from Bethesda.
In August, 2023 Laced Records announced a vinyl release in collaboration with id Software/Bethesda and composer Sascha Dikiciyan set to release in January, 2024.
