iam8bit and Materia Collective have put out a vinyl release of the arranged Pokémon Gold & Silver album, Johto Legends.
The release is a 2LP. It comes in a gatefold jacket with new art by Ryan Brinkerhoff.
Preorders opened on May 31, 2017 and it was scheduled to release in Q4, 2017. However, due to mastering the recording taking more time than expected it was delayed.
This is the standard edition on black & white split vinyl, which released in mid-June 2018.
Sam Dillard launched a succesful Kickstarter campaign for his arrangement of music from the The Legend of Zelda series. The arrangement is a symphonic tribute in the style of cinematic movie scores.
The campaign was launched on April 18, 2017, was succesfully funded, and ended on May 18, 2017.
As of September 28, 2018 the recordings finished and released digitally via Materia Collective.
The release is a black vinyl 2LP and is housed in a gatefold jacket with original art. It is a pressing of 450 copies.
The vinyl records began shipping out to backers in mid-April, 2019.
iam8bit and Materia Collective have partnered up to release Undertale On Piano – a collection of piano covers of tracks from Toby Fox’ Undertale soundtrack.
The covers are arranged by David Peacock and performed by Augustine Mayuga Gonzales.
The release is a 2LP on 180g cream white and red vinyl. It comes in a cover with artwork by Andy DeGiulio.
Preorders opened on March 15, 2017 and it released early August, 2017.
Hero Of Time is a musical retelling of the story of “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” performed by a live orchestra, which was announced on Kickstarter by Materia Collective on September 30, 2016. One of the backer rewards is a vinyl album of the recording.
The campaign met its $50,000 backing goal on October 31, 2016.
Vinyl copies have been done by iam8bit and the performance is done by the National Slovak Symphony Orchestra.
It is a 2LP with one record on translucent green vinyl with white splatter and the other on purple & white merge.
Preorders for non-backers opened on December 9, 2016 and the record released late June 2017.
