MOTHER

In Fall 2019 Sony Music Japan announced that their sublabel Great Tracks would be releasing a 30th anniversary edition of the MOTHER soundtrack on vinyl.

The release is a 2LP on clear vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Katsumi Asaba and Masaharu Takada.

It released on December 25, 2019 and was followed by an identical repress in January, 2020.

The release is almost identical to the Ship To Shore releases of this soundtrack, but this one features an extended version of the medley track “The World Of MOTHER” on Side D and doesn’t come with an obi. There are also minor differences in the layout and package design.

This is the 2019 repress retail variant. It comes on blue and yellow split colored vinyl. It released in January 2019.

The soundtrack is available in three variants. This is the classic black vinyl version, which is limited to 1000 copies.
