Turrican – Orchestral Selections

Chris Hülsbeck have run a succesfully funded a Kickstarter campaign for a new orchestral recording called Turrican Orchestral Selections. The release contains arranged music from Turrican 1-3.

The project launched May 31, 2017 and ended succesfully on June 18, 2017 with more than $90,000 in funding of an $85,000 goal.

The release is a 2LP on black vinyl housed in a gatefold jacket.

Physical rewards were scheduled to ship in April, 2018, but suffered several delays. They began shipping out in April, 2019.

This is the standalone vinyl release.

Shadow Of The Beast

Lag Records have announced that they will be releasing the Amiga soundtrack to Shadow Of The Beast on vinyl.

The release will be a single LP on purple translucent vinyl. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket with artwork by Keith Rankin and Ellen Thomas.

Preorders opened on June 10, 2019 and it is scheduled to begin shipping out 2-3 months after preorders opened.

Reformation 3

Matt Gray have announced that a selection of tracks from his Reformation 3 arrangement album will be released on vinyl.

The release will be a 2LP and is limited to 300 signed copies.

Preorders opened on April 10, 2019. The release date estimate is currently at least 4 months after completion of the digital tracks, which are estimated to be done around May 2020.

Please note that so far this release have only been made available to backers of the original Reformation 3 Kickstarter campaign.

Another World: Official Soundtrack

Black Screen Records have released Jean-François Freitas’ soundtrack to the game Another World on vinyl.

The release is a single 180g LP housed in a regular record jacket.

This is the silver grey variant that was available exclusively from Limited Run Games. It is limited to 400 copies. Orders went up on September 28, 2018 and it shipped out shortly after.

Black Screen Records have released Jean-François Freitas’ soundtrack to the game Another World on vinyl.

The release is a single 180g LP housed in a regular record jacket.

Orders opened on December 1, 2017.

This is the blue vinyl variant, which was available exclusively from the official Another World store.

The release is a 2LP on black vinyl and also includes the release on CD. Additionally, it also comes with a new TFMX  album, which is the soundtrack to the fictional Turrican 4.  It is housed in a box set with new artwork. The release is limited to 1000 numbered copies.

Turrican II The Orchestral Album

Chris Hülsbeck, the composer for Turrican II, have launched a Kickstarter for an orchestral version of his score for the game. The Kickstarter aims to release the orchestral recording in a limited edition box set containing the recording on CD and 2LP.

The box sets are individually numbered and limited to 1000 copies.

The campaign was launched on May 10, 2016 and was succesfully funded on May 28. The box set shipped out to backers in April 2017.

The Horrible Plans Of Flex Busterman

“The Horrible Plans Of Flex Busterman” is the soundtrack for a fictional game by the same name. All tracks on the album has been produced on either a Commodore 64 or an Amiga 500.

The album includes a booklet describing level and character information for the game (even though it doesn’t exist). The album is dedicated to composer Rob Hubbard and was released in 1997 by Digital Hardcore Recordings.
