Shinobi III

The Analog Music Project have announced that they will be releasing their Shinobi III arrangement album on vinyl.

There are no details on the release, and no expected shipping date yet. All they’ve announced is that they have received the test pressings.

Thunder Force IV

Data Discs have announced that they will be releasing the soundtrack to Thunder Force IV on vinyl.

It will release in 2019, but other than that no details have been announced yet.

Xeno Crisis Original Sound Track Vinyl

The Kickstarter for the game Xeno Crisis included a vinyl soundtrack option as a £25 add-on and the £500 tier.

The release appears to be a single LP on black vinyl in a regular LP jacket with game art.

The campaign ended succesfully on January 10, 2018 with more than 3.5 times its target goal.

Vinyl rewards were scheduled to go out in October, 2018, but the pressing was met with some delay. As of early 2019 the vinyl pressing is ready and will begin shipping out as soon as the other physical rewards are ready to ship as well.

Streets Of Rage 3

Data Discs have done a vinyl release for Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima’s soundtrack for the third entry in the Streets Of Rage series.

The release is  a 180g 2LP soundtrack housed in heavyweight LP jacket with artwork taken from the Japanese box art for the game. It comes with a lithographic print with the artwork on one side and liner notes by Koshiro on the back. Preorders from Data Discs own store also came with 3 post cards with game art.

Preorders opened on December 16, 2017 and it released mid-January 2018.

This is the classic black variant.

Streets Of Rage 3

Preorders opened on December 16, 2017 and it released mid-January 2018.

This is the orange translucent variant.

Rocket Knight Adventures

Ship To Shore PhonoCo. have released the soundtrack to Rocket Knight Adventures on vinyl.

The release is a single LP housed in a regular LP jacket with game art.

Preorders opened on November 27, 2017 and it was scheduled to release around December 9, 2017. However, due to a shipping delay from the manufacturer it released early January 2018.

This is the “Rocket Flash” blue and dark blue merge variant. It was sold exclusively through The Yetee.

Streets Of Rage 2

Data Discs have released the soundtrack to Streets Of Rage 2 on vinyl. The release comes in a 2LP gatefold cover with an OBI strip and includes 2 lithographic prints with artwork from the SEGA archives. The music have been remastered in collaboration with composer Yuzo Koshiro and includes four bonus tracks (demos, alternate versions, unused music).

The release was confirmed already in the Summer 2015 before Data Discs released their first titles.

The album was originally scheduled to have released earlier, but due to dissatisfaction with the first test pressings Data Discs started the work on the audio tracks from scratch and delayed the release until they were satisfied with the results.

This is the 2017 repress on clear vinyl.

Diggin’ In The Carts, A Collection Of Pioneering Japanese Video Game Music

Hyperdub have released the compilation album “Diggin’ In The Carts, A Collection Of Pioneering Japanese Video Game Music” on vinyl.

The release is a 180g 2LP with one yellow and one orange record. It ishoused in a gatefold jacket with original artwork by Koji Morimito. It includes 3 art prints.

Preorders opened on June 1, 2018 and it released on July 20, 2018.

Altered Beast

Data Discs played a test pressing of their upcoming Altered Beast release at an event in London and later uploaded a teaser of them playing the test pressing on Twitter.

On June 27, 2017 Data Discs announced that the release will be a single LP cut at 45 RPM.

Orders opened on June 30, 2017 and it released early July.
