Atlantic Records are releasing a collection of original tracks made for the highly anticipated upcoming game Grand Theft Auto VI on vinyl under the title “Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album”.
The release will be a 2LP available in no less than 9 different colored vinyl variants:
- Black vinyl (standard retail)
- Magenta translucent with blue splatter colored vinyl (Atlantic Records exclusive)
- Clear with magenta liquid-filled vinyl (Atlantic Records exclusive)
- Pink translucent with purple splatter (Best Buy exclusive)
- Pink opaque with purple splatter (Amazon exclusive)
- Blue translucent and pink translucent colored vinyl with glitter (Walmart exclusive)
- Pink and blue split colored vinyl (Target exclusive)
- Pink opaque with blue and purple splatter (Blood Records exclusive, individually numbered)
- Pink marbled and blue marbled colored vinyl (indie record store exclusive)
It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork. All variants will include a 12″x24″ poster with different artwork depending on the variant.
It is priced at $50 although prices may vary depending on the retailer. The liquid-filled was priced at $125, but also sold out shortly after going up. It can be preordered via Atlantic Records here, and via all the retailers mentioned above, and I imagine most record stores will carry either the indie exclusive or standard variants as well.
