Mappy’s Love Song

U/M/A/A have released the vocal song “Mappy’s Love Song”, which uses background music from the arcade game Mappy alongside new vocals.

The release is a 7″ on black vinyl. It is housed in a regular 7″ jacket with design by Michiharu Yasufuku.

Preorders opened on July 19, 2024 and it was scheduled to release in October, 2024, but was delayed and released around November 12, 2024.

Noby Noby Boy Original Soundtrack

Fangamer have released a selection of tracks from the Noby Noby Boy soundtrack on vinyl.

The release is a black vinyl 2LP and is housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Keita Takahashi.

Orders opened on March 16, 2021 and it began shipping shortly after.

Spacelab9 have released a compilation called “Namco Museum:  Arcade Greatest Hits” on vinyl.

On February 9, 2018 Spacelab9 shared a photo of the cover art, which included pictures of Dig Dug, Gaplus, Mappy, Pac-Man, Rolling Thunder, and Xevious.

The release is a single LP housed in a die-cut jacket. It comes with a printed inner sleeve that can be switched around to change the look of the front. It also comes with a booklet containing details on the games represented on the release.

This is the blue and white swirl variant. There is not a lot of info on how this was released. Presumably it’s a repress made available in 2020.

A vinyl version of Namcot Game A La Mode II have been released by Victor Musical Industries in 1988.

Very little is known about this release.

LP released in 1984. It contains 10 tracks from the games, Xeviouis, Bosconian, Pac-Man, Phozon, Mappy, Libble Rabble, Pole Position, New Rally-X, Dig Dub, and Galaga. All tracks are arranged versions done by Haruomi Hosono.

There’s been a few different pressings of this album. This is a Japanese promotion pressing on Yen Records.
