Final Fantasy VII Remake And Final Fantasy VII Vinyl

Square Enix have released a selection of tracks from Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake on vinyl.

It is  a 2LP picture disc release. It is housed in a sturdy, textured triple gatefold jacket resembling a Buster Sword. It is wrapped in a silver-foiled cardboard silpcase with the game’s logo.

Preorders opened on July 7, 2019.

This is the US variant, which features a different catalog number from the Japanese release and is pressed at GZ Media. It features different company credits than the EU release, but is otherwise identical.

Music From The Game Freedom Finger

Rhymesayers have released an EP featuring Aesop Rock’s tracks from the game Freedom Finger.

It is a 10″ EP on “molten” orange-in-clear with orange splatter colored vinyl. It is housed in a regular 10″ jacket with artwork by Travis Millard and comes with a digital download card.

Preorders opened on April 7, 2020 and it was scheduled to release on April 24, 2020, but received a minor delay and instead released in early May, 2020.

Death Stranding: Songs From The Video Game

Mondo have released the licensed songs used in Death Stranding on vinyl.

It is a 180g 3LP set. It is housed in a triple gatefold jacket with new artwork by Randy Ortiz.

Preorders opened on April 8, 2020 and it began shipping in late June, 2020.

This is the colored edition with one record on clear with grey splatter, one on clear with brown splatter, and one on clear with pink splatter colored vinyl.

Death Stranding Original Score

Mondo have released the score to Death Stranding on vinyl.

The release is a 180g 3LP. It is housed in a triple gatefold jacket with new artwork by Max Löffler. It includes an insert with liner notes by Ludvig Forssell and Hideo Kojima.

Preorders opened on February 19, 2020 and it began shipping in late March, 2020.

This is the version with one disc on clear vinyl with black splatter, one on clear with green splatter, and one on clear with red splatter.

Red Matter (Original Soundtrack)

Enjoy The Ride Records have released the soundtrack to VR game Red Matter on vinyl.

The release is a single-sided LP with a screen printed b-side. It comes in a regular LP jacket with game art.

Orders opened on April 3, 2020 and it began shipping out shortly after.

This is the “Red Explosion” red-in-clear with red splatter colored vinyl variant. It is limited to 200 copies.

Bunkbed Junctions

The PS4 Collector’s Edition for the game No Straight Roads contained a selection of the game’s soundtrack on vinyl.

The release is a single LP on black vinyl and will be housed in a regular LP jacket within the collector’s edition box.

Preorders opened on March 27, 2020 and it was expected to release on June 30, 2020, but was later delayed and released on August 25, 2020.

Streets Of Rage 4 The Definitive Soundtrack

Brave Wave have announced that they will be releasing the soundtrack to Streets Of Rage 4 on vinyl.

The release is a 3LP and comes in a box set featuring new artwork by Hitoshi Ariga and Ayano Koshiro. It also includes a booklet with liner notes and interviews as well as a download code for a digital copy of the soundtrack.

Preorders opened on May 1, 2020 and it released in early September, 2020 after some minor delays.

This is the limited edition box set on red, blue and white colored vinyl. It is limited to 1000 copies and include an A4 art sheet signed by Olivier Derivière and Yuzo Koshiro.

The Music Of Red Dead Redemption II (Original Score)

Lakeshore Records and Invada Records have released the instrumental score to Red Dead Redemption II on vinyl.

The release is a 2LP on clear vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with game art.

Preorders opened on March 2, 2020 and it began shipping in late March, 2020.

198X

iam8bit have released the soundtrack to 198X on vinyl.

The release is a 2LP with one record on “retro” pink translucent and the other on classic black vinyl. It comes in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Waneella. It is limited to 500 copies.

The album was announced as part of the game’s Kickstarter on May 3, 2018, which was funded succesfully on June 2, 2018. A later vinyl edition was also announced as part of the Kickstarter.

The album was initially intended to release alongside the game in May, 2019, but the full game was delayed. In February, 2020 it was announced that the two vinyl editions were getting combined into this one and would be released by iam8bit. It began shipping to backers  later in February, 2020 and was made available for purchase at PAX East 2020, and available online on March 5, 2020.
