Cross Symphonic – A Symphonic Tribute To ‘Chrono Cross’

John Paul Hayward launched a Kickstarter for a symphonic arrangement of music from the game Chrono Cross, which included vinyl options starting at the $80 tier.

The Kickstarter launched three times – first one was cancelled, second one failed, but the third time it was succesful.

The release is a 2LP with one record on blue marbled and the other on clear with black smoke colored vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Rowye and all copies are individually numbered.

Vinyl rewards were scheduled to ship out in April, 2020, but a combination of manufacturing issues and the COVID-19 pandemic have caused some delays and it began shipping out to backers in mid-July, 2021.

VGM Acapella Volume 1

Yetee Records have released Smooth McGroove’s VGM Acapella Volume 1 album on vinyl.

It is an acapella arrangement album.

The release is a single LP on yellow vinyl. It comes in a regular LP jacket with new artwork by Drew Wise.

Preorders opened on January 23, 2019 and it began shipping out in late March, 2019.

Distant Worlds III: More Music From Final Fantasy

AWR Records have released the orchestral arrangement album Distant Worlds III: More Music From Final Fantasy on vinyl.

The release is a 2LP on blue translucent vinyl and comes in a gatefold jacket.

Preorders opened on December 5, 2018 and it began shipping out on December 10, 2018.

Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night (Original Video Game Soundtrack)

Mondo have released Michiru Yamane’s soundtrack to Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night on vinyl. It was first announced back in April, 2016, but was not announced with details until October 24, 2018.

It includes the PlayStation soundtrack and 7 tracks from the Sega Saturn version.

It is a 180g 2LP. It comes in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Jasmin Darnell.

Preorders opened on October 24, 2018 and began shipping out shortly after.

This is the red translucent vinyl variant.

The Third Sequence / Titan

A 12″ with Photek’s music from wipEout 2097 (XL) was released by Astralwerks in 1996.

It’s on black vinyl and comes in a generic black jacket with an info sticker on it. It was limited to 1000 copies.

LSD Revamped

Ship To Shore PhonoCo. have released the “revamped” soundtrack to LSD: Dream Emulator.

The tracklist for the release have been rearranged for the vinyl release by Osamu Sato in order to better fit the vinyl format.

The release is a 3LP on red vinyl. It comes in a triple gatefold jacket with artwork by Osamu Sato.

Orders opened on March 28, 2019 and it began shipping out shortly after.

Xenogears Vinyl -Shinkaku-

Square Enix have released an album with arranged and original tracks from Xenogears. The arranged tracks are taken from the Myth and Creid arrangement albums.

The release is a black vinyl 2LP. It comes in a gatefold jacket with an obi.

Preorders opened on August 24, 2018 and it released on October 24, 2018.

SoulCalibur -Best Of- Vinyl Collection

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe have released a box set with a selection of music from all games in the SoulCalibur series. The release was made available exclusively in Europe.

The release is a 7LP black vinyl box set. It features individual jackets for each LP with art from the game they have music from.

Preorders opened on August 22, 2018 and it released early October, 2018.

The 8-Bit Time Paradox

Giovanni Rotondo launched an Indiegame campaign for an album of video game cover tracks. The campaign was aiming to raise £10,000 by December 24, 2017 for a symphonic recording of the album.

While the campaign failed to reach its goal, the album is still coming out (just without the symphonic parts).

It is a single LP housed in a regular LP jacket with artwork by Jeff Langevin.

It was released by Enjoy The Toons Records on May 5, 2018.

This is the edition on “boss battle” purple-in-clear with white splatter. It is limited to 200 copies.
