Back in April Ghost Ramp announced that they will be releasing Jukio Kallio’s (aka. Kozilek) soundtrack to the game Nuclear Throne on vinyl. And now we have more details!
The release will be a 2LP with one record on “nuclear sludge” green and the other a picture disc with character art. It comes in a gatefold jacket with a die-cut front and features new original artwork by Justin Chan. The release will also come with a digital download of the soundtrack.
Furthermore there is also a special edition available that comes with an enamel pin, two stickers and some “Ghost Ramp extras”.
The release is scheduled to release in April 2017. Preorders are live now via Ghost Ramp here – $40 for the regular version and $50 for the special edition.
It was announced in an interview with PCGamer back in January that Ghost Ramp would be releasing Danny B.’s acclaimed soundtrack to the game Crypt Of The NecroDancer on vinyl. Since then only a few mockups have been shown, but no concrete info – until today!
Ghost Ramp have opened a listing on their website for the release along with additional details. The album will come on 2LP vinyl with one record being “fire” vinyl (red with orange splatter) and the other being “ice” vinyl (three stripes in different shades of blue).
The release features brand new artwork done by Del Northern and will come with a download code of the newly remastered soundtrack.
Additionally, the release will be available in two different variants – a “limited edition” of 1000 copies which includes everything mentioned above at $45, and a “special edition” which includes everything above as well as a Danny B enamel pin and 2 stickers at $55.
The album is scheduled to release in March 2017 and can be preordered from Ghost Ramp’s webstore now.
Back in February Ghost Ramp announced in an interview with PCGamer that they will be releasing the soundtracks to LISA: The Painful RPG as well as Crypt Of The NecroDancer. Yesterday Ghost Ramp tweeted that they would open preorders for LISA: The Painful RPG today – and now that time has come!
The game was developed by Dingaling and the soundtrack was composed by Widdly 2 Diddly – both which are aliases for Austin Jorgensen. The release comes in 3 different variants – a special edition with 2LP picture discs that includes an enamel pin and an embroidered character patch, a regular 2LP picture disc version and a 2LP version with one disc on red/black split and the other on blue/black split color vinyl. The packaging for all three versions are identical and features brand new artwork by Karsten Schreurs (see below).
The soundtrack is priced at $50 for the special edition, $40 for the picture disc, and $35 for the colored version. It is scheduled to release on early October, 2016.
Preorder via Ghost Ramp’s online store here – special edition 2LP picture disc, regular 2LP picture disc, and 2LP colored variant.
In an article about indie game soundtracks posted by the music distribution site Bandcamp today, it was revealed that Ghost Ramp is working on a vinyl release for Decky Coss’ soundtrack to the game Cibele (among a handful of previously confirmed soundtracks).
Cibele is an adventure game by Star Maid Games about love and a young woman’s feelings for a young man she meets in an online multiplayer game.
No specifics were mentioned in the article, but while we wait for more information the soundtrack can be streamed in full on Decky Coss’ Bandcamp.
This post will be updated when more news are revealed.
Today Ghost Ramp announced via Twitter that they will be releasing the soundtrack to Vlambeer’s top-down rogue-like Nuclear Throne. The soundtrack is done by Jukio Kallio (also known as Kozilek).
Not much else about the release has been revealed and no indication on a release date, so for now we’ll have to make do with the digital version of the soundtrack which can be streamed via Jukio Kallio’s Bandcamp.
In a Kickstarter update today Super Systems Softworks (the people behind Drift Stage) detailed upcoming merchandise plans in collaboration with Ghost Ramp. And that included a lot of good news for VGM vinyl fans.
It was revealed that the full soundtrack by Myrone will receive a vinyl pressing, it was also revealed that a second car-shaped 7″ with new music and design (the Keizai model), and finally it was revealed that the first car-shaped 7″, which sold out in pre-order, will be re-pressed.
There are no ETA’s on any of these, but the updated noted that the Keizai-shaped 7″ is being pressed right now, so I imagine we will hear more about it soon. The Keizai-release was also previously teased by Ghost Ramp who uploaded the cover art for it (see below).
UPDATE: Somehow I overlooked that Super Systems uploaded a mockup of the record – so feast your eyes on this:
UPDATE 2: The 7″ can now be pre-ordered via Ghost Ramp’s store. It’s limited to 500 copies and is scheduled to release on July 11.
