Bad Mojo

Ghost Ramp have released the soundtrack to the 1996 puzzle game Bad Mojo. The soundtrack is composed and performed by Xorcist.

A note included with the soundtrack release for Nuclear Throne in April 2017 (also by Ghost Ramp) said to expect news on this title “soon”.

On July 10, 2019 Ghost Ramp finally announced details for this title.

It is a single LP on orange vinyl. It comes in a regular LP jacket with new art by Mikey Burey and includes an insert with art and liner notes. It is limited to 500 copies.

Preorders opened July 10, 2019 and it began shipping in late October, 2019.

Samorost 3

Minority Records have released Floex’ (aka. Tomáš Dvořák) soundtrack to Samorost 3 on vinyl.

The album is a 180g 2LP release that comes in a gatefold cover featuring artwork from the game. It also comes with 6 art cards with additional game artwork.

The release was announced late March, 2016 with preorders opening on October 10, 2016. The album released early November 2016.

This is the version on green translucent vinyl, which is limited to 1000 copies.

Live At Symphony Hall

The Video Game Orchestra launched a Kickstarter for a live album of video game music titled “Live At Symphony Hall” which included a vinyl tier at $250.

The Kickstarter was launched on August 29, 2012 and was succesfully funded on October 9, 2012. The vinyl version was estimated to ship in April 2013.

As of March 2016 the album has launched digitally and on CD, but no vinyl version were made. The band did show interest in a vinyl version in a Facebook post from May 2015.

Under The Half Dome

Ken Allen, former Sierra composer, started a Kickstarter for a new album called “Under The Half Dome”. The album features new music based on compositions he’s made for games between 1989 and 1996.

A full tracklist for the album was posted on Allen’s website shortly before the Kickstarter ended.

A vinyl version of the album was included for backers at the $125 tier. The Kickstarter launched on January 22, 2013 and was succesfully funded on February 21, 2013 with just over twice as much as the initial goal. Estimated delivery for the vinyl version was estimated in August 2013.

As of March 2016 there are no indication that the vinyl version (or even the album) was ever finished. Some backer-only updates on Kickstarter titled “Refunds” could be an indication that the project either was cancelled or simply an offer for backers to get a refund if they’re not interested in waiting any longer.

The Heroes Piano Sonatas

Gamemusic Records have released Paul Anthony Romero’s “The Heroes Piano Sonatas” on vinyl. The album is a live recording of Romero’s piano arrangements of music from the Heroes of Might & Magic series.

The album was originally teased as a reward from a Kickstarter project that did not end up reaching its funding goal.

The release us a 2LP on 180g white vinyl and is housed in a gatefold jacket. It is limited to 300 copies.

The 50 first copies purchased from Gamemusic.pl came signed by Paul Anthony Romero.

Preorders opened on September 22 and it released in late October 2017.

Transistor: Original Soundtrack

Darren Korb’s soundtrack to the game Transistor will be released on vinyl by Supergiant Games.

It comes on a 2LP in a Stoughton tip-on gatefold cover with game art.

The release was announced on March 14, 2016 and it shipped shortly after.

This is the original pressing on 180g milky clear vinyl.

Hotline Miami Collector’s Edition Vinyl

Laced Records  launched a Kickstarter to get the original Hotline Miami soundtrack out on vinyl. The Kickstarter launched on March 11, 2016 and was succesfully funded on April 10, 2016. Laced Records later opened up for preorders via their website.

The release is a 3LP with one record on black, one on solid red, and one on solid yellow vinyl and features new artwork by Niklas Akerblad. It is limited to 5000 copies.

The album was released in early August, 2016.

Nuclear

A 7″ picture disc with Mike Oldfield’s song Nuclear on side A alongside an image of Snake was released for Record Store Day. The 7″ was released by Virgin EMI Records released on Record Store Day 2016 which was on April 16.

The release features a vocal version (with vocals by Luke Spiller) and an instrumental version of the song Nuclear.

It was a UK/EU exclusive and was only available in European record stores on the day.

Driver: Parallel Lines

A 12″ with music related to the Atari title “Driver: Parallel Lines” have been released.

It’s a single 12″ on red vinyl and is housed in a gatefold jacket.

It was released in 2006.

No Man’s Sky

The soundtrack to the highly anticipated game No Man’s Sky – performed by the post-rock band 65daysofstatic – has been released on vinyl by iam8bit.

It features artwork from  Simon Stålenhag and Kuldar Leement and comes on 2 180g colored records – one light blue and one dark red. The d-side on this release features an etching.

It opened for preorders on March 3, 2016. After a series of delays it released early October, 2016.
