The Artful Escape

A vinyl release of the soundtrack to the upcoming game The Artful Escape Of Francis Vendetti was among the backer rewards for game’s Kickstarter. The Kickstarter was unsuccessful, but work continued on the game. The game shortened its name to The Artful Escape and released in 2021 and on November 15, 2022 the new vinyl release was formally announced.

The release is a 2LP on “psychedelic” clear with pink splatter colored vinyl. It is housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Jim Rugg.

Preorders opened on November 17, 2022 and it was scheduled to release in Q2 2023. However, it was delayed and shipped in late September, 2023.

Oxenfree (Collector’s Edition)

SCNTFC teased on Twitter back in February 2016 that his Oxenfree soundtrack would be released on vinyl.

On May 26, iam8bit listed preorders for SCNTFC’s soundtrack to the game. The release comes on 2LP 180g colored vinyl in a foil-printed and die-cut record jacket.

It started shipping mid-December 2016 after being delayed for some time.

Into The Stars

Iam8bit have released Jack Wall’s soundtrack to the indie space simulator Into The Stars on vinyl. The record comes on 180g black with splatter vinyl and the jacket will have die-cut stars alongside Arno Kiss’ original artwork for the release.

The release is limited to 1000 copies. It released mid-August 2016.

XCOM Vinyl Soundtrack

A 2LP set featuring music by Michael McCann, Roland Rizzo, and Tim Wynn to XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2 has been released by iam8bit.

The set comes on 180g blue and white marbled vinyl, features original artwork by Filip Hodas, and includes the digital soundtracks. Pre-orders opened on February 10 and it released early August 2016.

Minecraft Volume Alpha

C418’s Minecraft Volume Alpha soundtrack was released on vinyl by Ghostly International on August 21, 2015.

A few EU retailers sold the album along with prints and/or postcards signed by C418.

There are several different versions. This is a repress on clear vinyl that also comes with the 3D holographic cover.

Ori And The Blind Forest Original Soundtrack

On April 28, 2016 iam8bit announced that they will release Gareth Coker’s soundtrack to Ori And The Blind Forest on vinyl.

Composer Gareth Coker had previously hinted in a Reddit-thread that the soundtrack to Ori And The Blind Forest might be released on vinyl and a post from a NeoGAF user mentioned talking with Coker who confirmed that it would be released on vinyl.

The soundtrack will be released on 2LP 180g vinyl and features brand-new artwork by Aya Kakeda.

Pre-orders opened on April 29, 2016 and the soundtrack was released late February 2017 after several delays.

This is the blue and purple variant.

Toejam & Earl: Back In The Groove (Original Game Soundtrack)

The official Toejam and Earl Facebook-page have replied to a comment asking if the soundtrack for Toejam And Earl: Back In The Groove will be available on vinyl. The response was: “Yup we’re working with IAM8BIT and will be releasing something like this. We have more music to make first though.”

In a backer update on Kickstarter from Februar 11, 2017 they shared the first mockups of the release and mentioned it would be distributed via IndieBox. It later became clear that iam8bit would not be involved, but it is unclear why.

The release is a 2LP on orange and red vinyl. The second disc is single-sided and features and etching of Toejam & Earl. It comes in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Nathan Shorts. It also comes with a small book with concept art and the soundtrack on CD.

On August 5, 2017 they opened preorders for the release. It was originally scheduled to release in Q3, 2017. After reaching out to IndieBox, they replied on October 16, 2017 that the records are on their way from the manufacturer and will begin shipping out as soon as they arrive. The release began shipping in late November, 2017.

Solstice EXTRA – はるのあしおと

A 12″ featuring music from the visual novel Haru No Ashioto have been released and is titled “Solstice EXTRA – はるのあしおと”. The release was available for purchase at Comic Markeyt 66 in Tokyo.

There’s two versions available. This is the one on blue translucent vinyl.

Axiom Verge

Ship To Shore PhonoCo. have released a selection of Thomas Happ’s music for the game Axiom Verge on vinyl. There’s two different pressings – “Axiom Disruptor” orange translucent with red swirl (limited to 250 copies) and purple marbled (limited to 750 copies). It was released on January 18, 2016.

This is the orange with red swirl version.

While the official pressing number for this is 250 copies, a box of 30 copies were damaged and destroyed, meaning that there’s only 220 copies in existence.

LISA: The Painful RPG

Ghost Ramp have released Austin Jorgensen’s soundtrack to the game LISA (also known as LISA: The Painful RPG). The soundtrack also contains tracks from the game’s expansion, LISA: The Joyful.

The release is a gatefold 2LP with artwork from Karsten Schreurs (aka. Grobi Grafik).

The release was announced in an interview with PCGamer from January, 2016 with preorders opening in July same year. It shipped early November, 2016 after some minor delays.

This is the limited edition picture disc variant. “Special edition” copies of this come with an enamel pin and an embroidered patch with character art from the game.
