It was recently teased as a preorder on a series of online stores, but now we have an official announcement. Black Screen Records will be releasing Jean-François Freitas’ soundtrack to the classic adventure game Another World (known as Out Of This World in the US).
The game, which was originally developed for the Amiga in 1991, recently celebrated it’s 25th anniversary and have been launched on modern consoles. The release features the music from the 20th anniversary release of the game + bonus tracks from the Amiga and 2004 PC versions.
The vinyl release will be single LP in regular record jacket. It features artwork and layout by Dane Baudoin based on original artwork by the game’s creator Éric Chahi.
There will be no less than 4 different variants available. An orange version sold via Black Screen Records, a black version sold via various retail outlets, a blue version sold on the game’s official store, and finally a special US version which is yet to be revealed.
The record is priced at €26 and is set to release on August 18, 2017. It can be preordered now via Black Screen Records’ store.
This title will also be the final title to be inluded in Black Screen Mystery Bundle #002, so people who ordered that will already be secured a copy of this record.
