It’s been a while since Brave Wave officially confirmed that they would be releasing the soundtracks to Ninja Gaiden 1-3 in two 2LP volumes. Today, however, we finally got to know when – and a whole lot more!
Vol. 1 of the two 2LP releases will contain newly remastered versions of the arcade and NES versions of the original Ninja Gaiden soundtrack. Vol. 2 will containg newly remastered versions of the NES soundtracks to Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos and Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom.
Vol. 1 comes on orange and red colored vinyl, while Vol. 2 comes on blue and green colored vinyl. They both come in gatefold jackets and includes a booklet each with artwork, interviewss and liner notes.
In addition to these two 2LP releases Brave Wave is also doing a super-limited box set in only 100 copies. This box set will include both 2LP sets and also comes with concept art and a post card signed by three of the series’ composers.
UPDATE: I’ve had it confirmed with Brave Wave that it is only the signed version of the box set which will be limited to 100 copies. There will be non-signed copies as well – and more than 100.
All 3 releases are scheduled to release on or around July 1, 2017. Preorders for all will open on April 13, 2017 via BigWax and Bandcamp.
