As announced on Mondo’s blog a few days ago, orders for Konami Kukeiha Club’s soundtrack to Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse are now live.
The release will be a 2LP on 180g colored vinyl. It comes in a gatefold cover with brand new artwork done by Sachin Teng. There will be two color variants – a split variant with colors based on game characters (limited to 1000 copies) and an orange translucent with black and white splatter (limited to 2500 copies).
Disc 1 on the album will feature the NES soundtrack, while Disc 2 features the Famicom (VRC6 chip) soundtrack. Both will be newly mastered for this vinyl release by James Plotkin.
Orders are open now via Mondo’s webstore and they are expected to ship out soon.

It was teased on social media some time ago, but today Mondo announced the vinyl release of the Contra III: The Alien Wars soundtrack. The soundtrack is by Konami Kukeiha Club and this will be Mondo’s first Contra release (with more to follow later).
The release will be a single 180g LP and comes in a jacket with new artwork from Paul Mann. The release will be available in two color variants – clear with red splatter and blue/red split with white splatter. The former will be limited to 500 copies.
Orders will open on Wednesday (March 1, 2017) from Mondo’s store and are expected to ship shortly afterwards.
Mondo released the first Castlevania OST on a 10″ last year as the first Konami video game release of many. Today they announced the release of their next Konami title and it will be Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest.
Like the first one, this will be a 10″ release. This time on blue vinyl with green splatter and brand new artwork by Eric Powell (see below). Side A will contain the NES version of the soundtrack while Side B will contain the Famicom version of the soundtrack.
This will be the second in their Castlevania series where Castlevania III, Super Castlevania IV, and Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night have also been confirmed.
It will be priced at $20 and will be available from Mondo’s store this Wednesday noon CST (January 11, 2017).
A listing for a 12″ with two Low Roar songs used in the trailers for the upcoming PlayStation 4 game Death Stranding have appeared on Mondo’s website.
The 12″ will come on 180g clear vinyl with heavy black splatter. It comes in a regular jacket with artwork by Randy Ortiz.
It’s still unclear whether these songs will feature in the final game and also unclear when the game by Hideo Kojima will release. However, we do know that preorders are live now via Mondo’s site and that this release is scheduled to go out in February 2017.
Last week it was confirmed that Mondo would release the soundtrack to Castlevania on vinyl, but today they confirmed via Mashable that they have many more Konami titles coming out. Hold on to your hats everyone because this is what they have in store for us – Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night, Contra, and – one of the most requested titles – Silent Hill!
So far it’s just been announced that the first release will be Castlevania, which will be available at the San Diego Comic-Con in July. This likely means that a release for the general public will be available online shortly after (which is what they did with their The Last Of Us release).
Following Mondo’s announcement today and Ship To Shore PhonoCo.’s earlier Konami announcement it’s safe to say that Konami are going all in on getting their soundtracks out on vinyl.
But this is not today’s only announcement. iam8bit also announced that they will be releasing Petri Alanko’s Quantum Break soundtrack on vinyl. The release will be on 180g white with colored splatter vinyl and will feature new artwork by Christina Mrozik.
The release is limited to 3000 copies and is set for a Q3 2016 release.
It can be preordered via iam8bit’s US store here and their UK store here.
And we’re not quite done yet. Finally, it was announced on Twitter today that Doseone’s soundtrack to the new indie title Enter The Gungeon will also see a vinyl release. No specifics have been revealed about that one yet, though.
Yesterday Mondo launched their latest mixtape with teaser tracks from their upcoming releases on Soundbutt and it opened with the Prologue from the Castlevania soundtrack by Kinuyo Yamashita and Satoe Terashima. They later confirmed in a comment on Twitter that they will indeed be releasing the soundtrack!
So far that’s all the news there is, but this is big news as this have been one of the most requested OSTs to receive the vinyl treatment and one that’s previously been unofficially released.
UPDATE: The release can now be ordered via Mondo here (Mondo exclusive grey splatter) and via Amazon here (black vinyl retail version).
You can now order the The Last Of Us soundtrack on vinyl from Mondo’s webstore:
It’s a 4LP box set containing music from the game as well as the Left Behind DLC on black vinyl. It features art from Olly Moss and Jay Shaw and will set you back $75.
Update: First pressing has sold out, but Mondo has opened up for preorders for a second pressing with an estimated release in December.
Update 2: Mondo has stated that they will close preorders on August 7 (or earlier if the planned pressing quantity sells out).
Mondo have just announced in their newsletter that the release date for the upcoming The Last Of Us vinyl soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla will be on July 22nd.
Furthermore we got some extra info on the set. It will be a 4LP slipcase on good ol’ black vinyl – no color options. Artwork is done by Olly Moss and Jay Shaw (see pictures below) and the soundtrack will include music from the “Left Behind” DLC. As rumored the price have also been confirmed to be $75.
No word on any limitations, so I’m gonna guess that there will be plenty of these bad boys.
In a Twitter-post today, the long awaited vinyl version to Gustavo Santaolalla’s soundtrack for The Last Of Us was finally shown.
Supposedly a 3LP or 4LP with a price of $75 and should be available for purchase online by the end of July.
