Arrangement album “The Greatest Video Game Music” to get a vinyl release

X5 Music Group is releasing the classical arrangement album The Greatest Video Game Music on vinyl for the first time. It was originally released in 2011 on CD and digital and is performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

It includes music from the games Advent Rising, Angry Birds, Battlefield 2, BioShock, Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VII, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto IV, Halo 3, The Legend Of Zelda, Mass Effect 2, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, Tetris, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, and World Of Warcraft.

The release will be a 2LP, but there is not a lot of information available about the packaging. It seems it will use the same artwork that was on the CD version, though.

It is priced around £20 and is scheduled to release in August, 2019. Price and exact release date varies between different retailers, though. It can be preordered via Amazon UK here.
