For the 20th anniversary of MMORPG World Of Warcraft Mondo have opened up preorders for a vinyl release of the live performance “World Of Warcraft: 20 Years Of Music”.
The release will be a 4LP on blue, green, orange and red marble colored vinyl. It will be housed in a two gatefold jackets housed within a slipcase box set with game art.
It is priced at $90 and is scheduled to release in March, 2025. It can be preordered via Mondo here.
Curaga Records are now taking vinyl preorders for the lofi arrangement album “Video Game LoFi: World Of Warcraft”.
The release will be a single 180g LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with new artwork by ArtByGalen and Save Point.
It is priced at $29 and is scheduled to release in December, 2024. It can be preordered via Curaga Records’ Bandcamp here.
Silva Screen Records are releasing cellist Tina Guo’s video game music arrangement album “Game On!” from 2017 on vinyl. It features arranged music from The Legend Of Zelda, Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger, World Of Warcraft, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Uncharted, Super Mario Bros., Pokémon, Journey, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Tetris.
The release will be a 2LP on “polar” white colored vinyl. It will be housed in a jacket with art identical to its CD release with design by Paul Marc Mitchell and photography by Viktorija Pashuta.
It is priced at €38 and is scheduled to release in mid-May, 2024. It can be preordered via Silva Screen Records here.

iam8bit are doing more vinyl soundtracks for the classic MMORPG World Of Warcraft this time it’s the Classic version of the game alongside the Burning Crusade expansion getting releases. Last year they opened orders for the soundtrack to Wrath Of The Lich King.
Classic is a 2LP on “Legendary” gold translucent with black swirl colored vinyl.
The Burning Crusade is a 2LP on “Stormrage” green marble colored vinyl.
Both releases will be housed in gatefold jackets with printed inner sleeves featuring game art as well as design by Ryan Brinkerhoff. They are currently both marked as Blizzcon exclusives and limited to 1000 copies each.

Diggers Factory and Silva Screen Records are teaming up to bring back volumes 1 and 2 of the The Essential Games Music Collection arrangement albums by London Music Works back on vinyl – but this time together in one release. They have previously been released on vinyl separately.
The release will be a 2LP on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a die-cut jacket with new artwork.
It is priced at €25 and is scheduled to release in October, 2023. It can be preordered from Diggers Factory here.
iam8bit are releasing the soundtrack to World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King on vinyl as both a 2LP and a 3LP+7″ box set.
The 2LP will be on “Ice Crown” blue colored vinyl. It will be housed in a jacket with game art and design by Ryan Brinkerhoff.
The box set 3LP will be on “snow and steel” blue color-in-color vinyl and the 7″ on “ice” blue colored vinyl. It will be housed in a box set with small compartments and will also include a pin, a 45 adapter and a felt slipmat. The box set will be limited to 1500 copies.
The 2LP is priced at $42 and the box set at $200. Both are scheduled to release in Q2 2023 and can be preordered via iam8bit here for the 2LP and here for the box set.

The crowdfunding service Digger’s Factory have partnered up with UK soundtrack label Silva Screen for a vinyl release of the 2011 recording “The Essential Games Music Collection Vol. 1”.
It is an orchestral recording of music from various games performed by film music orchesta London Music Works. It features music from the games Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Gears Of War 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Assassin’s Creed II, World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King, Halo 3, Final Fantasy VII, Battlefield 1942, The Curse Of Monkey Island, Turrican II: The Final Fight, The Legend Of Zelda, and Super Mario Bros.
The release will be a single 140g black vinyl LP. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket.
The campaign will need 100 preorders in order for the company to launch a pressing of 1000 copies. It is priced at €20 and if the campaign is successful it is scheduled to release in November, 2020. It can be backed via Digger’s Factory here.
X5 Music Group is releasing the classical arrangement album The Greatest Video Game Music on vinyl for the first time. It was originally released in 2011 on CD and digital and is performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
It includes music from the games Advent Rising, Angry Birds, Battlefield 2, BioShock, Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VII, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto IV, Halo 3, The Legend Of Zelda, Mass Effect 2, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, Tetris, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, and World Of Warcraft.
The release will be a 2LP, but there is not a lot of information available about the packaging. It seems it will use the same artwork that was on the CD version, though.

EuroArts have announced that they will be releasing a selection of tracks from the orchestral album “Gaming In Symphony” on vinyl. The album will feature music from Uncharted 2, Assassin’s Creed II, Grim Fandango, World Of Warcraft, and the Halo trilogy.
There is also a gaming legacy medley with music from F-Zero, DOOM, Castlevania, Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter II, and Super Mario Bros.
The release will be a 140g black vinyl single LP housed in a regular LP jacket with original cover art.
