The sixth Distant Worlds Final Fantasy arrangement album is now available on vinyl

AWR Records are once again releasing an orchestral Final Fantasy series arrangement album in the Distant Worlds series and this time it’s the recent sixth entry getting a vinyl release.

The release will be a 2LP on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket.

It is priced at $35 and is in-hand and expected to start shipping from November 17, 2023. It can be ordered via the Distant Worlds Shop here. Please note that they only ship to the US, but past releases have all eventually gotten EU distro.

Laced Records to release both Final Symphony albums on vinyl

Laced Records are now taking vinyl preorders for a reissue of Final Symphony and the first release of the newly released follow-up Final Symphony II. Both are albums with orchestral arrangements of music from the Final Fantasy series.

Final Symphony will be a 3LP available in two variants – a limited edition blue and purple swirl colored vinyl variant, and a standard black vinyl variant.
Final Symphony II will be a 3LP available in two variants – a limited edition red and cream swirl colored vinyl, and a standard black vinyl variant.

Both will be housed in a wide-spined single-pocket jacket with printed inner sleeves.

They are priced at £50 each and are both scheduled to release in March, 2024. They can be preordered from Laced Records here.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth vinyl release now up for preorder via Square Enix

Square Enix are releasing a selection of tracks to their highly anticipated upcoming game Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on vinyl.

The release will be a single picture disc LP. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with game art.

It is priced at ¥4950 and is scheduled to release on January 31, 2024. It can be preordered via the Japanese Square Enix Store here.

For people outside of Japan it is currently available to preorder from CDJapan here, but it will most likely be available on the other regional Square Enix stores for NA and EU at a later time.

A New World: Intimate Music From Final Fantasy arrangement now available to order on vinyl

AWR Records have opened up orders for the 2014 and 2019 Final Fantasy series arrangement albums A New World: Intimate Music From Final Fantasy on vinyl. These arrangements albums were arranged and worked on by many of the same people involved with the Distant Worlds albums.

Both releases will be 2LPs on clear vinyl. They will be housed in jackets matching the original CD and digital artwork for both albums.

They’re priced at $35 each and appear to be in stock and ready to ship out. They can be ordered via the official Distant Worlds store with the first album available here and the second available here.

Please note that these will currently only ship to North America. Previous albums have later had more widely available distribution, but there are currently no news on that for these.

Final Fantasy XI compilation now up for preorder from Square Enix

Square Enix are releasing a compilation of music from their MMORPG Final Fantasy XI and all its expansions on vinyl for the game’s 20th anniversary.

The release will be a single picture disc LP. It appears to be housed in a PVC-jacket with cardboard backing. The picture disc features a new illustration by Fumio Minagawa,

It is priced at ¥4950 and is scheduled to release on March 17, 2023. It can be preordered from Square Enix Japan here (please note that they only offer domestic shipping).

It has been confirmed that the EU and NA Square Enix stores will also be offering this, however, as of this post it was not up on either of these.

Final Fantasy metal arrangement Fate’s Delusion can now be preordered on vinyl

Metal band Knight Of The Round are releasing their Final Fantasy series arrangement album Fate’s Delusion on vinyl. The album features tracks from Final Fantasy V to IX.

The release will be a single LP on purple with pink, blue and white splatter colored vinyl. It will be housed in jacket with artwork by Jelena Taylor. It will be limited to 250 copies.

It is priced at $30 and is scheduled to release in early December, 2022. It can be preordered from Knight Of The Round’s Bandcamp here.

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker vinyl release coming from Square Enix

The soundtrack to the fourth expansion to MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV – titled Endwalker – is getting a vinyl release that features a selection of tracks from its full soundtrack. It is made to fit in the Final Fantasy XIV box set that released last year.

The release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket tip-on jacket with new illustrations by Kuroimori. It will include a digital download card.

It is priced at ¥3300 and is scheduled to release on December 3, 2022. It can be preordered from Square Enix Japan here.

As of this post it is only available from the Japanese store with domestic shipping, but it will most likely show up on the European and North American stores soon.

Final Fantasy VII theme compilation vinyl is now available to preorder from Square Enix

Square Enix are releasing a compilation LP with mainly character themes from classic JRPG Final Fantasy VII in celebration of the game’s 25th anniversary.

The release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with the game’s anniversary logo.

It is priced at $40 / €37 / £33 and is scheduled to release on August 11, 2022. It can be preordered from Square’s NA store here, their EU store here, and their UK store here.

New Final Fantasy arrangement album up for preorder via Square Enix

Square Enix have announced yet another Final Fantasy vinyl release. This time it’s an album titled “Modulation – Final Fantasy Arrangement Album” and will feature new arrangements of a track from each main series game through FFI-X arranged by original composer Nobuo Uematsu.

The release will be a single LP. So far there are no details on the packaging. It will include a download code for a digital copy of the tracks.

It is priced at ¥4950 and is scheduled to release on November 9, 2022. It can be preordered via Square Enix’s Japanese store here (domestic shipping only) and CDJapan here with international shipping options.
Presumably this will appear on Square’s Western storefronts at a later time.

Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary Orchestral Compilation vinyl release available to preorder from Square Enix

Square Enix have opened preorders for an orchestral compilation vinyl release for the Final Fantasy series’ 35th anniversary. The concept is to pick an orchestral arrangement of a track from each game in the series, although no tracklist have been announced yet.

The release will be a 2LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a triple gatefold jacket with Yoshitaka Amano’s 35th anniversary artwork.

It is priced at ¥8800 and is scheduled to release on August 31, 2022. It can be preordered from Square Enix’s Japanese store here (domestic shipping only) and from CDJapan here.
While not confirmed I would imagine that this will be sold at Square Enix’s other regional stores at a later time as well.
