Final Fantasy XIV orchestral arrangement album up for vinyl preorder via Square Enix

Square Enix have opened up preorders for a Final Fantasy XIV arrangement album aptly titled “Final Fantasy XIV Orchestral Arrangement Vinyl LP Box”. It is a compilation of the three Final Fantasy XIV Orchestral Arrangement album releases that were originally released on CD in 2017, 2019 and 2022 respectively.

The release will be a 3LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a triple gatefold jacket with new illustrations by Kuroimori, which in turn will be housed in a box set. The release also includes a download code for a digital copy of the album.

It is priced at ¥14850 (although marked up noticeably on their Western store fronts) and is set to release around December 17, 2025. It can be preordered from Square Enix’s regional stores:

Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail 7″ is up for preorder via Square Enix

Square Enix Music are releasing a 7″ single with two tracks from the upcoming Dawntrail expansion for the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV.

The release will be a 7″ record on black vinyl. It will be housed in a 7″ gatefold jacket with new artwork by the game’s art team.

It is priced at ¥2750 and is scheduled to release around June 5, 2024. It can be preordered via Square Enix’s Japanese store here, their North American store here, and their European store here.

Third volume of A New World Final Fantasy arrangements now available to preorder on vinyl

AWR Records are ready with a new entry in their series of A New World arrangement albums covering music from the Final Fantasy series. This release features takes on music from Final Fantasy I, IV, V, VIII, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV and XV.

The release will be a 2LP on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with session photography and credits.

It is priced at $30 and is scheduled to release on March 1, 2024. It can be preordered from the official Distant Worlds shop here.

A New World: Intimate Music From Final Fantasy Volume III - Front

A second Final Fantasy XIV box set is now available from Square Enix

Back in 2021 Square Enix released a 4LP box set with music from Final Fantasy XIV and its expansions (followed by a separate LP release for Endwalker in 2022). Now they are ready with a new box set with music that didn’t make the cut for that first release.

The release will be a 5LP set (with a disc for the base game and each main expansion). It will be housed in a box set with each record housed in a jacket matching its corresponding expansion with new artwork by Yoshioka. The release will also include a download code for each disc.

It is priced at ¥13200 and is scheduled to release around December 16, 2023. It can be preordered from Square Enix Japan here.

A New World: Intimate Music From Final Fantasy arrangement now available to order on vinyl

AWR Records have opened up orders for the 2014 and 2019 Final Fantasy series arrangement albums A New World: Intimate Music From Final Fantasy on vinyl. These arrangements albums were arranged and worked on by many of the same people involved with the Distant Worlds albums.

Both releases will be 2LPs on clear vinyl. They will be housed in jackets matching the original CD and digital artwork for both albums.

They’re priced at $35 each and appear to be in stock and ready to ship out. They can be ordered via the official Distant Worlds store with the first album available here and the second available here.

Please note that these will currently only ship to North America. Previous albums have later had more widely available distribution, but there are currently no news on that for these.

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker vinyl release coming from Square Enix

The soundtrack to the fourth expansion to MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV – titled Endwalker – is getting a vinyl release that features a selection of tracks from its full soundtrack. It is made to fit in the Final Fantasy XIV box set that released last year.

The release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket tip-on jacket with new illustrations by Kuroimori. It will include a digital download card.

It is priced at ¥3300 and is scheduled to release on December 3, 2022. It can be preordered from Square Enix Japan here.

As of this post it is only available from the Japanese store with domestic shipping, but it will most likely show up on the European and North American stores soon.

Final Fantasy Chocobo compilation vinyl releases up for preorder via Square

Square Enix have opened up preorders for two new Final Fantasy compilation albums titled “Chocobo + Friends”. They will include all (or at least almost all) Chocobo themes from throughout the main series plus some bonus tracks.

Both titles will be single LPs and will be housed in a single pocket jacket featuring new illustrations by Toshiyuki Itahana.

They are priced at ¥3520 each (with a bundle option available at ¥7080) and are scheduled to release on May 25, 2022. They can currently only be preordered via the Japanese Square Enix store with no international shipping options.

Distant Worlds V now available to order on vinyl

AWR Records are releasing the fifth and latest installment in the Distant Worlds series of Final Fantasy arrangement albums on vinyl.

Distant Worlds V feature arrangements of tracks from Final Fantasy V, VI, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV and XV as well as a series spanning Chocobo medley.

The release will be a 2LP on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with session photography and credits.

It is priced at $40 and is in-hand and ready to ship. It can be ordered via the official Distant Worlds store here. Please note that they will only ship to the US and Canada at this time.

Final Fantasy character theme compilation up for vinyl preorder via Square

Square Enix are releasing a series of four compilation LPs with character and battle themes from all 15 Final Fantasy main series titles.

Each release will be a single black vinyl LP. They will be housed in tip-on single-pocket jackets with character illustrations by Tetsuya Nomura and will all include a download card.
There is also an option for a version which has all four releases together in a clear plastic slipcase

Please note that if you order from Square Enix Japan you will have to buy all four standalone titles in order to qualify for the slipcase, while the Western stores has the 4LP set as a standalone listing.

They are priced at €33/$37/¥3250 and are scheduled to release between December 6, 2021 and March 28, 2022 (slipcase orders will ship March 28, 2022).

Square Enix are releasing a 7″ with music from the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV expansion Endwalker.

The release will be a black vinyl 7″ housed in a 7″ jacket with new artwork by the game’s art team.
