Final Fantasy VII Rebirth theme song single up for vinyl preorder via Square Enix

Square Enix Music are releasing the theme song from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, “No Promises To Keep”, on vinyl. The set will include the song used in the game as well as a band version performed with Nobuo Uematsu’s conTIKI band, alongside instrumental versions of both.

The release will be a 12″ single on black vinyl. It will be housed in a jacket with game art.

It is priced at ¥3850 and is scheduled to release on July 10, 2024. It can be preordered via Square Enix’s Japanese store here (domestic orders only) and CDJapan here.

No Promises To Keep - Front

A second Final Fantasy XIV box set is now available from Square Enix

Back in 2021 Square Enix released a 4LP box set with music from Final Fantasy XIV and its expansions (followed by a separate LP release for Endwalker in 2022). Now they are ready with a new box set with music that didn’t make the cut for that first release.

The release will be a 5LP set (with a disc for the base game and each main expansion). It will be housed in a box set with each record housed in a jacket matching its corresponding expansion with new artwork by Yoshioka. The release will also include a download code for each disc.

It is priced at ¥13200 and is scheduled to release around December 16, 2023. It can be preordered from Square Enix Japan here.

Please note that these have been confirmed to also release on the North American and European Square Enix stores, although with no note on when exactly they will go up. Additional info such as tracklisting can be found here.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth vinyl release now up for preorder via Square Enix

Square Enix are releasing a selection of tracks to their highly anticipated upcoming game Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on vinyl.

The release will be a single picture disc LP. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with game art.

It is priced at ¥4950 and is scheduled to release on January 31, 2024. It can be preordered via the Japanese Square Enix Store here.

For people outside of Japan it is currently available to preorder from CDJapan here, but it will most likely be available on the other regional Square Enix stores for NA and EU at a later time.

Square Enix are releasing a Kingdom Hearts vinyl box set

Square Enix have announced that they are releasing a Kingdom Hearts vinyl box set with a selection of tracks from the games in celebration of the series’ 20th anniversary.

The release will be a 3LP on black vinyl housed in a box set with artwork made for the 20th anniversary.

It is priced at ¥16500 and is scheduled to release on March 22, 2023. It can be preordered from Square Enix Store Japan here, although it is likely to show up on the North American and European stores soon as well.

Final Fantasy XI compilation now up for preorder from Square Enix

Square Enix are releasing a compilation of music from their MMORPG Final Fantasy XI and all its expansions on vinyl for the game’s 20th anniversary.

The release will be a single picture disc LP. It appears to be housed in a PVC-jacket with cardboard backing. The picture disc features a new illustration by Fumio Minagawa,

It is priced at ¥4950 and is scheduled to release on March 17, 2023. It can be preordered from Square Enix Japan here (please note that they only offer domestic shipping).

It has been confirmed that the EU and NA Square Enix stores will also be offering this, however, as of this post it was not up on either of these.

Bravely Default vinyl release coming from Square Enix

Square Enix have opened up preorders for a vinyl soundtrack selection of music from their 3DS JRPG Bravely Default.

The release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a single pocket jacket with game art.

It is priced at ¥4180 and is scheduled to release on December 2, 2022. It can be preordered from Square Enix’s Japanese store here with domestic shipping only. However, the North American and European stores will likely be getting these soon as well.

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker vinyl release coming from Square Enix

The soundtrack to the fourth expansion to MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV – titled Endwalker – is getting a vinyl release that features a selection of tracks from its full soundtrack. It is made to fit in the Final Fantasy XIV box set that released last year.

The release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket tip-on jacket with new illustrations by Kuroimori. It will include a digital download card.

It is priced at ¥3300 and is scheduled to release on December 3, 2022. It can be preordered from Square Enix Japan here.

As of this post it is only available from the Japanese store with domestic shipping, but it will most likely show up on the European and North American stores soon.

Octopath Traveler vinyl soundtrack up for preorder from Square Enix now

Square Enix have opened up vinyl preorders for a release featuring a selection of music from their JRPG Octopath Traveler titled “Octopath Traveler -Recorded Journey-“.

The release will be a 2LP presumably on black vinyl. There are no clear description of the packaging other than it will feature artwork by Naoki Ikushima and liner notes by composer Yasunori Nishiki.

It is priced at ¥4950 and is scheduled to release on September 26, 2022. It can be preordered from Square Enix Japan here.

It has also been confirmed that they will be available from Square’s EU and NA stores at a later time.

Final Fantasy VII theme compilation vinyl is now available to preorder from Square Enix

Square Enix are releasing a compilation LP with mainly character themes from classic JRPG Final Fantasy VII in celebration of the game’s 25th anniversary.

The release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with the game’s anniversary logo.

It is priced at $40 / €37 / £33 and is scheduled to release on August 11, 2022. It can be preordered from Square’s NA store here, their EU store here, and their UK store here.

New Final Fantasy arrangement album up for preorder via Square Enix

Square Enix have announced yet another Final Fantasy vinyl release. This time it’s an album titled “Modulation – Final Fantasy Arrangement Album” and will feature new arrangements of a track from each main series game through FFI-X arranged by original composer Nobuo Uematsu.

The release will be a single LP. So far there are no details on the packaging. It will include a download code for a digital copy of the tracks.

It is priced at ¥4950 and is scheduled to release on November 9, 2022. It can be preordered via Square Enix’s Japanese store here (domestic shipping only) and CDJapan here with international shipping options.
Presumably this will appear on Square’s Western storefronts at a later time.
