Earthbound Papas’ Dancing Dad arrangement album up for vinyl preorder

Le Fée Sauvage is releasing Earthbound Papas’ 2013 album Dancing Dad on vinyl. The band features famous composer Nobuo Uematsu and this album includes arrangements of several of his compositions alongside original tracks.

The release is a 2LP on black with white splatter colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with the artwork from the original CD release. It includes a booklet with photography as well as a copy of the album on CD.

It is priced at €39 and appears to be in hand and ready to ship. It can be preordered from Le Fée Sauvage/Wild Faery here as well as from Dragon Memories here.

Final Fantasy X vaporwave arrangement from Wizard Of Loneliness up for vinyl preorder

Halcyon Tapes are releasing Wizard Of Loneliness’ Final Fantasy X vaporwave/hiphop arrangement album titled “X” on vinyl.

The release will be a single LP available in three color variants – a cream with red “summoner” splatter colored variant, a “Besaid” sea green marble colored variant, and an unrevealed Vinyl Moon-exclusive variant set to go up at a later date.
It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with artwork by Manilla and Wizard Of Loneliness. It’s a pressing of 186 copies across the first two color variants with the Vinyl Moon variant being an additional 99 copies.

It is priced at $24 and is scheduled to release in August, 2022. It can be preordered via Bandcamp here.

Final Fantasy X arrangement “Fleeting Symphony” gets a vinyl release from Wayô

Wayô Records are releasing the 2016 symphonic Final Fantasy X arrangement album Fleeting Symphony on vinyl and preorders are live now.

The release will be a 2LP on “fleeting” blue colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Alayna Danner.

It is priced at €43,50 and it is scheduled to release in October, 2022. It can be preordered from Wayô Records here.

New Final Fantasy arrangement album up for preorder via Square Enix

Square Enix have announced yet another Final Fantasy vinyl release. This time it’s an album titled “Modulation – Final Fantasy Arrangement Album” and will feature new arrangements of a track from each main series game through FFI-X arranged by original composer Nobuo Uematsu.

The release will be a single LP. So far there are no details on the packaging. It will include a download code for a digital copy of the tracks.

It is priced at ¥4950 and is scheduled to release on November 9, 2022. It can be preordered via Square Enix’s Japanese store here (domestic shipping only) and CDJapan here with international shipping options.
Presumably this will appear on Square’s Western storefronts at a later time.

Final Fantasy character theme compilation up for vinyl preorder via Square

Square Enix are releasing a series of four compilation LPs with character and battle themes from all 15 Final Fantasy main series titles.

Each release will be a single black vinyl LP. They will be housed in tip-on single-pocket jackets with character illustrations by Tetsuya Nomura and will all include a download card.
There is also an option for a version which has all four releases together in a clear plastic slipcase

Please note that if you order from Square Enix Japan you will have to buy all four standalone titles in order to qualify for the slipcase, while the Western stores has the 4LP set as a standalone listing.

They are priced at €33/$37/¥3250 and are scheduled to release between December 6, 2021 and March 28, 2022 (slipcase orders will ship March 28, 2022).

Final Fantasy X picture disc vinyl up for preorder from Square Enix

Square Enix have announced that they are releasing a selection of tracks from the soundtrack to JRPG Final Fantasy X on vinyl for the game’s 20th anniversary.

The release will be a 2LP picture disc release. It will be housed in a plastic outer jacket with a cardboard wrapping (similar to their previous picture disc releases of VII and VIII).

It is priced at ¥5500 and is scheduled to release on October 27, 2021. It can be preordered from Square Enix’s Japanese store here (however please note that they only ship to Japan).
They have confirmed that it will also be released via the North American and European stores later as well.

VGM Jams Mixtape Vol. 1 arrangement album can be backed on Qrates now

A group of different VGM artists have grouped together to release new arrangements of music from Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear 2, Persona 4, Secret Of Mana, Shadow Dancer, Sonic The Hedgehog, Streets Of Rage 2 and Super Castlevania IV on the album “VGM Jams Mixtape Vol. 1”. It is being released through a campaign currently up on Qrates.

If the campaign is successful the release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket featuring new artwork made for this project.

It is priced at $34.29 and the campaign runs from now and until June 18, 2021. It is scheduled to release 2-3 months after the campaign ends if it reaches its goal of 100 preorders.

Laced Records will be releasing Final Symphony and Symphonic Fantasies Tokyo on vinyl

Laced Records teased some upcoming releases a few days ago and today they had quite the announcement – they will be releasing the London Symphony Orchestra’s Final Symphony AND Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra’s Symphonic Fantasies Tokyo on vinyl.

The albums are made in collaboration with Square Enix and all music on both titles are from Square Enix games. Final Symphony contains music from Final Fantasy VI, VII, and X while Symphonic Fantasies Tokyo contains music from Kingdom Hearts, Secret of Mana, Chrono Cross, and Chrono Trigger.

Both albums will be released on 3LP black vinyl in a triple gatefold cover. Final Symphony will have new artwork done by Tom Baxter and Caspar Newbolt, while Symphonic Fantasies Tokyo will have new artwork by Johnni Di-Doi and Petherton Press.

Both albums are up for preorder now and are expected to ship in December. Posters and CDs are also available from Laced Records.
