Cello VGM arrangement album by Tina Guo now up for vinyl preorder via Silva Screen

Silva Screen Records are releasing cellist Tina Guo’s video game music arrangement album “Game On!” from 2017 on vinyl. It features arranged music from The Legend Of Zelda, Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger, World Of Warcraft, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Uncharted, Super Mario Bros., Pokémon, Journey, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Tetris.

The release will be a 2LP on “polar” white colored vinyl. It will be housed in a jacket with art identical to its CD release with design by Paul Marc Mitchell and photography by Viktorija Pashuta.

It is priced at €38 and is scheduled to release in mid-May, 2024. It can be preordered via Silva Screen Records here.

Tournament Arc self-titled album of VGM arrangements up for vinyl preorder via Materia Collective

Materia Collective are releasing VGM cover band Tournament Arc’s self-titled debut album on vinyl. It features jazzy takes on music from Persona 5, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, Journey, Metal Gear Solid 3, Bastion, Donkey Kong Country 2, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, and NieR: Automata.

The release will be a 180g 2LP available in two color variants – a gold colored vinyl variant (limited to 700 copies), and a standard black vinyl variant. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Absolum.

It is priced at $40 for the standard and $45 for the limited edition and is scheduled to release in early 2024. It can be preordered from the Materia Store here and from their Bandcamp here.

Ben Briggs VGM arrangement album up for vinyl order via Firaga Records

Firaga Records have opened vinyl orders for a new entry in their VGM Essentials series and this time it’s an arrangement album by Ben Briggs getting the vinyl treatment. It features covers of music from Chrono Trigger, Killer Instinct, The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker, Diddy Kong Racing, Super Mario 64, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, Sonic Colors and Super Mario Galaxy.

The release is a single LP on 180g black vinyl. It is housed in a single-pocket jacket with artwork by Ginkgo.

Chrono Trigger J-core arrangement “Dreamseeker” now up for vinyl preorder

New label TAS Records are releasing the Chrono Trigger J-core arrangement album “Dreamseeker” on vinyl.

The release will be a 2LP on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a jacket with new artwork by Frank Attmannspacher. It will also include a UV-printed slipmat. It will be limited to 200 copies.

It is priced at $63 and is in-hand and will start shipping late January, 2023. It can be ordered from TAS Records here.

“Generations: A Symphonic Tale” arrangement album up for vinyl order

Hayward Publishing are releasing “Generations: A Symphonic Tale” on vinyl. It is an arrangement album with music from Kingdom Hearts, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, Xenosaga, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy V.

The release will be a single LP available in two color variants – a limited purple marbled variant, and a standard black variant. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Rowye. The purple variant will also be numbered.

Black is priced at $27 and purple at $37 it is set to release tomorrow, November 22, 2022. It can be ordered from Hayward Publishing here.

Chrono Trigger piano arrangement album up for vinyl preorder from Materia Collective

Materia Collective are releasing the Chrono Trigger piano arrangement album “Piano Collections: Chrono Trigger” on vinyl.

The release will be a single 180g LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a jacket with artwork by Nora Kristiansen and will include a 12-page booklet with liner notes and additional art. It will be a pressing of 1500 copies.

Chrono Trigger orchestral arrangement Symphony Of Zeal now available from Mana Wave

Mana Wave have just opened orders for the orchestral Chrono Trigger arrangement album “Symphony Of Zeal” on vinyl. The album is a compilation of sorts of Malcolm Robinson’s Chrono Trigger: Orchestral Selections Vols. I and II.

The release will be a 2LP available in four color variants:
– “The Fallen Kingdom” brown and blue marble (500 copies)
– “Demon King” violet and white marble (300 copies)
– Gold nugget (100 copies)
– 180g black (100 copies)
It will be housed in a tip-on gatefold jacket with new artwork by Cathy Kwan.

It is priced at $45 and is in hand and ready to ship. It can be ordered from Mana Wave here.

Chilltendo Deluxe lofi arrangement album can be backed on vinyl now

GameChops have launched a Bandcamp vinyl campaign for the lo-fi hiphop album “Chilltendo Deluxe”. The album features arranged music from the Pokémon series, The Legend of Zelda series, Undertale, Super Smash Bros., Chrono Trigger, Super Mario Bros, and Ōkami.

If successful the release will be a 2LP on yellow and turquoise translucent colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Jokabi.

The campaign runs from now and until June 2, 2022. It is priced at $35 and if successful it is scheduled to release in October, 2022. As of this post it has already reached it’s funding goal.

VGM Jams Mixtape Vol. 1 arrangement album can be backed on Qrates now

A group of different VGM artists have grouped together to release new arrangements of music from Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear 2, Persona 4, Secret Of Mana, Shadow Dancer, Sonic The Hedgehog, Streets Of Rage 2 and Super Castlevania IV on the album “VGM Jams Mixtape Vol. 1”. It is being released through a campaign currently up on Qrates.

If the campaign is successful the release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket featuring new artwork made for this project.

It is priced at $34.29 and the campaign runs from now and until June 18, 2021. It is scheduled to release 2-3 months after the campaign ends if it reaches its goal of 100 preorders.

Chrono Trigger arrangement EP now available from Yetee Records

Yetee Records are teaming up with Materia Collective once again. This time to release an arrangement EP with new takes on the music of classic JRPG Chrono Trigger. This new release titled Guardia: The X-Strike Sessions will be the second in their X-series following their Star Fox EP from last year.

The EP will feature music from R23X, Lena Raine, Smooth McGroove, Joel Corelitz, Equip, Slim Girls, and bryface.

It will be a 10″ on yellow vinyl with red splatter. It comes in a 10″ jacket with lenticular artwork by Drew Wise. The release is limited to 500 copies.

The EP is priced at $30 and is scheduled to begin shipping around April 10, 2020. It can be preordered from The Yetee here.
