New video game arrangement album by Triforce Quartet up for vinyl preorder

The string quartet Triforce Quartet are releasing their video game music arrangement album “Dangerous To Go Alone” on vinyl.

It will feature arranged music from Final Fantasy XV, Final Fantasy X, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, Super Metroid, Street Fighter II, Bayonetta 3, The Last Of Us, Deus Ex, Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night, Portal 2, Mario Kart, Star Wars: Outlaws, Final Fantasy IX, and Bravely Default.

The release will be a single LP on “habanero” orange marble colored vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with artwork by Aaron Wu.

It is priced at $30 (a signed version for $40 is also available) and is scheduled to release around August 22, 2025. It can be preordered from Triforce Quartet’s Bandcamp here.

Distant Worlds VII with more Final Fantasy arrangements now up for vinyl order

AWR Records have made the most recent entry in the Distant Worlds series of Final Fantasy arrangement album – Distant Worlds VII – available on vinyl. It features orchestral arrangements of music from Final Fantasy I-III, VI, VII Remake, VII Rebirth, X, XI, XIV, XV and XVI.

The release will be a 2LP on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with session photography.

It is priced at $40 and is in-hand and ready to ship. It can be ordered from the official Distant Worlds store here.

EU/UK customers will be able to order the album via Wayô Records from April 1, 2025.

New Final Fantasy metal arrangement by Knight Of The Round up for vinyl preorder

Final Fantasy thrash metal band Knight Of The Round have opened up vinyl preorders for their new album Refractions. It features heavy takes on music from Final Fantasy II, VI, VII, VIII, IX, XIV, XV and Crisis Core.

The release will be a single LP on “coke bottle” green translucent colored vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with new artwork. It will be limited to 250 copies.

It is priced at $25 and is scheduled to release around April 25, 2025. It can be preordered via Knight Of The Round’s Bandcamp here.

Distant Worlds V now available to order on vinyl

AWR Records are releasing the fifth and latest installment in the Distant Worlds series of Final Fantasy arrangement albums on vinyl.

Distant Worlds V feature arrangements of tracks from Final Fantasy V, VI, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV and XV as well as a series spanning Chocobo medley.

The release will be a 2LP on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with session photography and credits.

It is priced at $40 and is in-hand and ready to ship. It can be ordered via the official Distant Worlds store here. Please note that they will only ship to the US and Canada at this time.

Final Fantasy character theme compilation up for vinyl preorder via Square

Square Enix are releasing a series of four compilation LPs with character and battle themes from all 15 Final Fantasy main series titles.

Each release will be a single black vinyl LP. They will be housed in tip-on single-pocket jackets with character illustrations by Tetsuya Nomura and will all include a download card.
There is also an option for a version which has all four releases together in a clear plastic slipcase

Please note that if you order from Square Enix Japan you will have to buy all four standalone titles in order to qualify for the slipcase, while the Western stores has the 4LP set as a standalone listing.

They are priced at €33/$37/¥3250 and are scheduled to release between December 6, 2021 and March 28, 2022 (slipcase orders will ship March 28, 2022).
