Final Fantasy Tactics vinyl soundtrack selection now up for preorder via Square Enix

Square Enix Music are releasing a selection of music from the soundtrack to Final Fantasy Tactics on vinyl in anticipation of the upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronciles port.

The release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with new illustrations by Akihiko Yoshida. It will include a digital download code for the full soundtrack alongside 31 previously unreleased tracks.

It is priced at 4620 and it is scheduled to release around October 1, 2025. It can be preordered via Square Enix’s Japanese store here or via CDJapan with international shipping options here.

As of this post this title is not available from the North American and European Square Enix stores, but they will likely be available from there at a later time.

Songs Of Silence vinyl soundtrack now up for preorder via Black Screen Records

Black Screen Records are now taking preorders for the vinyl soundtrack to turn-based strategy RPG Songs Of Silence. It features new music by acclaimed composer Hitoshi Sakimoto.

The release will be a single LP on black vinyl with “universe sparkle” blue glitter. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with game art.

It is priced at €29 and is scheduled to release in April, 2025. It can be preordered from Black Screen Records here.

Cyberblock Metal Orange EX and Chip-Chan Kick vinyl soundtracks up for preorder via Very Ok Vinyl

Very Ok Vinyl are celebrating their 3rd anniversary with two new retro vinyl soundtrack releases – the X68000 brick-breaker Cyberblock Metal Orange EX and PC-FX platforming game Chip-Chan Kick!

Cyberblock Metal Orange EX will be a single LP on orange with black splatter colored vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with new artwork by Brandon Frasier.

Chip-Chan Kick! will be a single LP on clear with blue, pink and green splatter colored vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with new artwork by Otacat.

They are priced at $40 CAD each and are both scheduled to release in July, 2024. Cyberblock Metal Orange EX can be preordered via Very Ok Vinyl here, and Chip-Chan Kick! can be preordered here. A bundle with both titles for $70 CAD are also offered here.

Final Fantasy Chocobo compilation vinyl releases up for preorder via Square

Square Enix have opened up preorders for two new Final Fantasy compilation albums titled “Chocobo + Friends”. They will include all (or at least almost all) Chocobo themes from throughout the main series plus some bonus tracks.

Both titles will be single LPs and will be housed in a single pocket jacket featuring new illustrations by Toshiyuki Itahana.

They are priced at ¥3520 each (with a bundle option available at ¥7080) and are scheduled to release on May 25, 2022. They can currently only be preordered via the Japanese Square Enix store with no international shipping options.

Final Fantasy character theme compilation up for vinyl preorder via Square

Square Enix are releasing a series of four compilation LPs with character and battle themes from all 15 Final Fantasy main series titles.

Each release will be a single black vinyl LP. They will be housed in tip-on single-pocket jackets with character illustrations by Tetsuya Nomura and will all include a download card.
There is also an option for a version which has all four releases together in a clear plastic slipcase

Please note that if you order from Square Enix Japan you will have to buy all four standalone titles in order to qualify for the slipcase, while the Western stores has the 4LP set as a standalone listing.

They are priced at €33/$37/¥3250 and are scheduled to release between December 6, 2021 and March 28, 2022 (slipcase orders will ship March 28, 2022).

Data Discs to release Radiant Silvergun soundtrack on vinyl

Earlier this year Data Discs announced that they would release the soundtrack to shoot’em up Radiant Silvergun on vinyl and now there’s finally details on the release.

The music will be remastered and the release features both the original arcade compositions on one disc and the Sega Saturn versions of tracks on the other.

The release will be a 180g 2LP available in three color variants – a limited edition orange/red/clear split and splatter variant, an orange translucent variant, and a classic black variant.
It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with game art and includes a double-sided lithographic print and a fold-out poster. Orders placed through Data Discs’ store will also include a sticker sheet.

It is priced at £26.50 and is set to begin shipping around mid-January, 2020. It can be preordered from Data Discs here at 7pm UK time (or earlier if you signed up for their newsletter codes).
