Super Castlevania IV arrangement Devil’s Curse up for vinyl preorder via Cartridge Thunder

Cartridge Thunder have opened preorders for a vinyl release of the Super Castlevania IV arrangement album Devil’s Curse.

The release will be a 2LP available in two color variants – a limited “Cross” clear and silver metallic pinwheel variant, and a blue and grey marble colored variant.
It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Alex Pei.

It is priced at $46 although it is available at $40 from now and until September 30, 2022. The “Cross” variant will only be available to order in this period as well.

Please note that they only offer direct purchases to US customers and non-US customers will be able to preorder from October, 2022. If you’re outside the US and want to make sure to get a “Cross” variant you will have to contact them via the e-mail address on the store page.

VGM Jams Mixtape Vol. 1 arrangement album can be backed on Qrates now

A group of different VGM artists have grouped together to release new arrangements of music from Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear 2, Persona 4, Secret Of Mana, Shadow Dancer, Sonic The Hedgehog, Streets Of Rage 2 and Super Castlevania IV on the album “VGM Jams Mixtape Vol. 1”. It is being released through a campaign currently up on Qrates.

If the campaign is successful the release will be a single LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket featuring new artwork made for this project.

It is priced at $34.29 and the campaign runs from now and until June 18, 2021. It is scheduled to release 2-3 months after the campaign ends if it reaches its goal of 100 preorders.

The Super Castlevania IV vinyl soundtrack will be released by Mondo this week

This release was originally announced quite a while back now, but today Mondo revealed that they will release Konami Kukeiha Club’s Super Castlevania IV on vinyl this week.

The release will be a 2LP cut at 45 RPM and comes in two different color variants – gold & bronze split and silver with red splatter. The split variant will be limited to 1000 copies. It will come in a jacket with new artwork by Jenolab.

Alongside this new release, Mondo will also have black vinyl copies of the sold out Castlevania III vinyl soundtrack for sale. Both releases will be priced at $30 and will go up for sale on July 21, 2017 at noon CST.

Last week it was confirmed that Mondo would release the soundtrack to Castlevania on vinyl, but today they confirmed via Mashable that they have many more Konami titles coming out. Hold on to your hats everyone because this is what they have in store for us – Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night, Contra, and – one of the most requested titles – Silent Hill!

So far it’s just been announced that the first release will be Castlevania, which will be available at the San Diego Comic-Con in July. This likely means that a release for the general public will be available online shortly after (which is what they did with their The Last Of Us release).

Following Mondo’s announcement today and Ship To Shore PhonoCo.’s earlier Konami announcement it’s safe to say that Konami are going all in on getting their soundtracks out on vinyl.

But this is not today’s only announcement. iam8bit also announced that they will be releasing Petri Alanko’s Quantum Break soundtrack on vinyl. The release will be on 180g white with colored splatter vinyl and will feature new artwork by Christina Mrozik.

The release is limited to 3000 copies and is set for a Q3 2016 release.

And we’re not quite done yet. Finally, it was announced on Twitter today that Doseone’s soundtrack to the new indie title Enter The Gungeon will also see a vinyl release. No specifics have been revealed about that one yet, though.
