Silent Hill 2 remake soundtrack now up for vinyl preorder via Laced Records

Laced Records are releasing the soundtrack to the 2024 remake of horror classic Silent Hill 2 on vinyl. The soundtrack will be available both as a full 6LP set and as a 2LP with a curated selection of music.

The 6LP set will be available in two color variants – a limited edition red swirl colored variant, and a standard black vinyl variant.
It will be housed in a slipcase box set with artwork from developers Bloober Team. It also includes a 32-page booklet with liner notes by composer Akira Yamaoka.

The 2LP will be available in two color variants – a limited edition “milky” clear colored variant, and a standard black vinyl variant.
It will be housed in a widespined single-pocket jacket with artwork from developers Bloober Team.

The 6LP set is priced at £125 and the 2LP set at £36, and both are set to release in October, 2025. They can be preordered via Laced Records here.

Silent Hill piano arrangement album up for vinyl preorder via Materia Collective

Materia Collective are releasing the piano arrangement album “Piano Stories: Silent Hill” on vinyl. It contains arrangements of music from the first four Silent Hill games.

The release will be a single LP on 180g black vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with illustrations by Andres Goji.

It is priced at $28 and is scheduled to release in Q1 2025. It can be preordered via the Materia Store here.

Mondo ready with preorders for Silent Hill 3 and 4 vinyl soundtracks

Mondo have just launched preorders for their long-awaited vinyl releases for the soundtracks to Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4: The Room.

Both releases will be 180g 2LPs available in a colored and a black vinyl variant. Both will feature new artwork by Ashley Swidowski and Nephemolancer.

Silent Hill 3 will be available on clear with black blobs + red translucent with black blobs colored vinyl and will also include liner notes by Alexander Aniel.

Silent Hill 4 will be available on black-in-clear with blue splatter + white and grey tricolor colored vinyl.

They are priced at $35 each and are scheduled to release in October, 2021.

Mondo’s Silent Hill 2LP is up for order now

Almost exactly a year ago Mondo announced their partnership with Konami for a series fo vinyl soundtracks. Today they’re releasing the soundtrack to the first game in the horror game series Silent Hill. The soundtrack is composed by Akira Yamaoka, but credited to Konami Digital Entertainment on this release.

The release will be a 2LP in a gatefold jacket with brand new artwork by Sam Wolfe Connelly. The records will come in 2 variants – one on 180g clear vinyl with heavy white “snow fall” splatter, and one on 180g classic black vinyl.

Mondo with huge Konami announcement, Quantum Break OST from iam8bit, and confirmation that the Enter The Gungeon OST will come out on vinyl

Last week it was confirmed that Mondo would release the soundtrack to Castlevania on vinyl, but today they confirmed via Mashable that they have many more Konami titles coming out. Hold on to your hats everyone because this is what they have in store for us – Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night, Contra, and – one of the most requested titles – Silent Hill!

So far it’s just been announced that the first release will be Castlevania, which will be available at the San Diego Comic-Con in July. This likely means that a release for the general public will be available online shortly after (which is what they did with their The Last Of Us release).

Following Mondo’s announcement today and Ship To Shore PhonoCo.’s earlier Konami announcement it’s safe to say that Konami are going all in on getting their soundtracks out on vinyl.

But this is not today’s only announcement. iam8bit also announced that they will be releasing Petri Alanko’s Quantum Break soundtrack on vinyl. The release will be on 180g white with colored splatter vinyl and will feature new artwork by Christina Mrozik.

The release is limited to 3000 copies and is set for a Q3 2016 release.

And we’re not quite done yet. Finally, it was announced on Twitter today that Doseone’s soundtrack to the new indie title Enter The Gungeon will also see a vinyl release. No specifics have been revealed about that one yet, though.
