Universal Music Japan have announced no less than 13 new vinyl compilations consisting entirely of Famicom and Disk System music from Konami games. The series is titled “Music From Konami Antiques ~Family Computer~” and was also recently released as a CD box set.
Vol. 1 will include music from Gradius, Salamander, Gradius II, and Cosmic Wars.
Vol. 2 will include music from Ganbare Goemon! Karakuridouchuu, Ganbare Goemon 2, Dragon Scroll: Yomigaerishi Maryuu, and Risa No Yousei Densetsu.
Vol. 3 will include music from Konami Wai Wai World, Ai Senshi Nicol, and Wai Wai World 2: SOS!! Parsley Jou.
Vol. 4 will include music from Rush’n Attack (Green Beret), Contra, Jackal (Final Command: Akai Yousai), and Super Contra.
Vol. 5 will include music from TwinBee, Stinger (Moero TwinBee: Cinnamon-hakase Wo Sukue!), and TwinBee 3: Poko Poko Daimaou.
Vol. 6 will include music from Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Moai-kun, and Kid Dracula (Akumajo Special: Boku Dracula-kun).
Vol. 7 will include music from Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, and Quarth (Block Hole).
Vol. 8 will include music from Lagrange Point, and Falsion.
Vol. 9 will include music from Esper Dream, and Esper Dream 2: Aratanaru Tatakai.
Vol. 10 will include music from Ganbare Goemon Gaiden: Kieta Ougon Kiseru, and Ganbare Goemon Gaiden 2: Tenka no Zaihou.
Vol. 11 will include music from Meikyuu Jiin Dababa, Exciting Billiard, Getsu Fuma Den, and Arumana No Kiseki.
Vol. 12 will include music from Parodius! From Myth To Laughter (Parodius Da!), Yume Penguin Monogatari, and Crisis Force.
Vol. 13 will include music from Crackout (Nazo No Kabe: Block Kuzushi), Exciting Soccer: Konami Cup, The Adventures Of Bayou Billy (Mad City), Yie Ar Kung-Fu, Majou Densetsu II: Daimashikyou Galious, and Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa.
There are currently no cover artwork or details about the packaging announced, although it appears that orders placed through Amazon Japan will also include a 10″ print of the jacket art of the respective release.
