Respawned Records have opened up preorders for their latest “Demastered” project, which is an arrangement of the Sonic Adventure music made to sound like a Sega Genesis soundtrack. The album is titled “Sonic Demastered Madventure”.
The release will be a single LP available in two vinyl color variants – a “Gotta Go Fast” blue translucent with blue splatter colored vinyl variant (200 copies), and an “Emerald Coast” blue and white pinwheel with white splatter colored vinyl variant (200 copies). It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with new illustrations by Brian Penry and Dan LeRoy. It also comes with an insert.
It’s been confirmed that Brave Wave will be releasing the soundtracks to Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 for some time, but now we can soon preorder them.
Both soundtracks will be released as a 180g 2LP sets. Sonic Adventure will come with one record on blue and the other on white vinyl, while Sonic Adventure 2 will come with one record on blue and the other on red vinyl.
Both sets will come in gatefold jackets and include printed inner sleeves, and a booklet featuring liner notes, character art and song lyrics. A download code will also be included for both.
The colored records are only for the first pressing of this release. All subsequent pressings will be on black vinyl.
In addition to the 2LP sets Brave Wave will also release a limited 4LP box set that include both soundtracks. The box set includes a card signed by the games’ lead composer Jun Senoue. The box set will be limited to 300 copies. There will not be a regular box set version.
The 2LP sets are priced at $40/€40 each and the box set is priced at $100/€100. All of the sets are scheduled to release in early 2018.
