Cartridge Thunder ready with vinyl preorders for the Virtua Fighter soundtrack

Cartridge Thunder have opened up preorders for a vinyl soundtrack release for the arcade and Sega Saturn versions of the Virtua Fighter soundtrack.

The release will be a 2LP available in five color variants – a blue and red split with white splatter variant (Cartridge Thunder exclusive), an orange and yellow swirl variant (Light In The Attic exclusive), a blue and light blue swirl variant (Mondo exclusive, 500 copies), a blue variant, and a classic black variant.
It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with game art and will include a 6-page booklet featuring an interview with the game’s creator Yu Suzuki.

It is priced at $42 and is scheduled to release in July, 2023. It can be preordered from Cartridge Thunder here.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon vinyl soundtrack up for preorder via Laced Records

Laced Records have just launched preorders for a vinyl soundtrack release to the seventh main series entry in the Yakuza series – Yakuza: Like A Dragon.

It will be available in two versions. The first is a comprehensive 5LP set available on both black vinyl and limited edition swirl colored vinyl. It will be housed in a slipcase box set with printed jackets featuring game art.

The second variant is a 2LP selection on maroon and green colored vinyl. It will be housed in a single pocket jacket with printed inners all featuring game art.

The box set is priced at £90 and the 2LP at £33. Both are scheduled to release in August, 2023 and can be preordered via Laced Records here.

The soundtrack to classic Sega JRPG Phantasy Star IV: The End Of The Millennium finally gets a proper vinyl release, which is up for preorder via Ship To Shore PhonoCo. now.

The release will be a 2LP available in two color variants – a pink and purple swirl variant (Ship To Shore exclusive) and a clear variant.
It will be housed in a jacket with game art and will include an 8-page booklet with archival artwork and liner notes by Jeremy Parish.

Data Discs ready with preorders for Sonic Frontiers and Fantasy Zone vinyl preorders

Data Discs are ready with preorders for two new vinyl soundtrack releases. First off they are releasing the instrumental music from upcoming Sonic game Sonic Frontiers as both a selection and a comprehensive box set. Additionally, they are also release the soundtrack to arcade classic Fantasy Zone.

The Sonic Frontiers 2LP will come on 180g “Sonic” blue vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with game art. It will include lithographic print and a 12-page booklet with liner notes.

The Sonic Frontiers box set will come on 180g clear vinyl with red, orange, green and blue splatter colored vinyl. They will be house in individual jackets within a slipcase box set with game art.
It will include four lithographic prints and a 12-page booklet with liner notes.

Fantasy Zone will be a single 180g LP available in three color variants – a limited edition pink-in-clear with blue splatter variant, a pink opaque variant, and a classic black variant.
It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with archival game art. It will also include a lithographic print.

Sonic Frontiers 2LP is priced at £33 and is scheduled to release no later than December 15, 2022. It can be preordered here.
The box set is priced at £87 and is scheduled to release in February, 2023. It can be preordered here.

Data Discs are releasing the Mega Drive/Genesis soundtrack to the 1993 pinball game Sonic Spinball on vinyl.

The release will be a single 180g LP cut at 45RPM. It will be available in three color variants:
– A limited edition frosted clear and blue translucent pinwheel colored variant
– A blue translucent colored variant
– A classic black variant
It will be housed in a heavy laminated single-pocket jacket with game art. It will also include a lithographic print of the cover art.

Data Discs have just opened up preorders for the vinyl soundtrack to Sega Genesis action side-scroller Shadow Dancer: The Secret Of Shinobi.

The release will be a single 180g LP cut at 45RPM. It will be available in three color variants – a limited edition teal translucent with white splatter variant, a teal translucent variant, and a classic black variant.
It will be housed in a heavyweight single-pocket laminated jacket with game art. It will also include a lithographic print with archival artwork and an obi strip.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania vinyl soundtrack preorder up via iam8bit

iam8bit have announced that they will be releasing the soundtrack to upcoming remastered collection of the first three Super Monkey Ball games titled Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania on vinyl.

The release will be a 2LP available in two variants – a “Monkey Ball” clear and pink split variant (limited to 1000 copies), and a “Banana” yellow variant (with randomly inserted bruised spots).
It will be house in a gatefold jacket with a peel-able banana sticker featuring artwork by Little Friends of Printmaking.
