Curaga Records are ready with a new entry in their Video Game LoFi series of lofi hiphop arrangement albums – this time with new takes on music from Sonic Frontiers.
The release will be a single 180g LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket holofoil jacket with new artwork by Save Point and ArtByGalen.
It is priced at $28 and is scheduled to release in April, 2024. It can be preordered via Curaga Records’ Bandcamp here.
Data Discs are ready with preorders for two new vinyl soundtrack releases. First off they are releasing the instrumental music from upcoming Sonic game Sonic Frontiers as both a selection and a comprehensive box set. Additionally, they are also release the soundtrack to arcade classic Fantasy Zone.
The Sonic Frontiers 2LP will come on 180g “Sonic” blue vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with game art. It will include lithographic print and a 12-page booklet with liner notes.
The Sonic Frontiers box set will come on 180g clear vinyl with red, orange, green and blue splatter colored vinyl. They will be house in individual jackets within a slipcase box set with game art.
It will include four lithographic prints and a 12-page booklet with liner notes.
Fantasy Zone will be a single 180g LP available in three color variants – a limited edition pink-in-clear with blue splatter variant, a pink opaque variant, and a classic black variant.
It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with archival game art. It will also include a lithographic print.
Sonic Frontiers 2LP is priced at £33 and is scheduled to release no later than December 15, 2022. It can be preordered here.
The box set is priced at £87 and is scheduled to release in February, 2023. It can be preordered here.
Fantasy Zone is priced at £24 and is scheduled to release no later than November 15, 2022. It can be preordered here.
Out of nowhere iam8bit have announced that they are releasing the soundtrack to the remastered release of Sonic Colors – Sonic Colors: Ultimate – on vinyl.
The release will be a 2LP available in two variants – a limited edition multi-color splatter vinyl variant (500 copies), and a randomly inserted color variant (orange, green, blue, and purple colors).
It will be housed in a gatefold jacket featuring new artwork by Matt Stevens.
It is priced at $40 and is scheduled to release in Q4 2021 for the limited and Q2 2022 for the standard. As of this post the limited edition is unfortunately sold out. The standard edition can be preordered from iam8bit here.

It was teased a while back that the soundtrack to Sonic Forces would get a vinyl release under the name “Sonic Forces: The Vinyl Cutz”.
The release will be a 2LP and appears to come with one disc on blue translucent vinyl and the other on clear vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with game art.
The official page from Wayô Records indicates that orders will open on June 23, 2018 with shipping to begin in July 2018. However, it is available to preorder from Amazon France now priced at €34 and with a shipping date of June 29, 2018.
