This time it’s a greatest hits compilation with music from the BIT.TRIP games. It will feature music from Bit Shifter, Bubblyfish, Nullsleep, Anamanaguchi (who also did the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game OST), and minusbaby.
The artwork is done by Drew Wise and the record will be a picture disc pressed on clear vinyl (see the mockups below).
As an extra bonus this will come with codes for all 7 BIT.TRIP games (on Steam) as well as their full digital soundtracks. It will be limited to 1,500 copies and will cost $25.
Today iam8bit announced that they’re releasing an EP featuring Chipzel’s music for Super Hexagon on vinyl. It comes on a hexagon-shaped record featuring artwork by Cory Schmitz and comes in 4 different colors sent out randomly. Preorders will open up on August 13.
Iam8bit pulled a big surprise move today when they announced that not only will the (previously announced) Battletoads vinyl soundtrack go up for pre-order tomorrow, but it will do so alongside two other Rare soundtracks – Banjo Kazooie and Perfect Dark.
David Wise’s Battletoads soundtrack will have very similar artwork and the same vinyl color as the SDCC Comic Con exclusive version, but will not have an embossed cover or a sound chip. It will also feature different gatefold artwork.
Grant Kirkhope’s Banjo Kazooie soundtrack will be on 2LP and come one brown and one red vinyl record. Grant Kirkhope, Graeme Norgate and David Clynick’s Perfect Dark soundtrack will also be a 2LP and come on red and blue splatter vinyl.
Update: All three are scheduled to be released in November.
All three releases will be limited to 3000 copies each. See artwork and vinyl colors below.
Jessica Curry, composer and studio head at The Chinese Room, has said on Twitter that the soundtrack to the upcoming game, Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, will be released on vinyl.
The news was shown in a screenshot by NeoGAF user PurpleMoustache in the VGM vinyl thread.
Now you might be wondering why I don’t cite the Tweet directly as the source and why I’ve tagged this as a rumored release. This is simply because I can’t find the tweet. It might have been taken down (or I’m an idiot with Twitter, which is just as likely), so I’m counting this as a rumor for now.
Update: I’ve finally come across a Twitter-link where Curry addresses the vinyl release, so I will now consider this confirmed.
Persona Central have made a list of merchandise that Atlus will be bringing with them to the Comiket conference this year. This included a vinyl version of “Persona 4: Dancing All Night Original Soundtrack -REMIXES-“.
It’s price tag will be 3000 yen and it will be distributed by Mastard Records. The Comiket conference will take place in Tokyo, Japan from August 14-16.
Update: A release for the general public has been announced. According to the Japanese store ebten.jp it will be released in late September. Please note that ebten.jp will only ship within Japan.

Update 2: Mondo has stated that they will close preorders on August 7 (or earlier if the planned pressing quantity sells out).
Spacelab9’s delayed and long-awaited Mega Man picture disc can now be purchased through Hot Topic’s website and stores.
If you don’t like picture discs, Hot Topic, or both then you’re in luck as Spacelab9 has promised to release a standard vinyl version on their own site on a later undisclosed date.
Update: While I was writing this the release sold out. It might still be available in-store, though.
Update 2: In a comment on a reddit-post, Spacelab9 said that they hope to be able to ship the standard vinyl versions in late September/early October.
Mondo have just announced in their newsletter that the release date for the upcoming The Last Of Us vinyl soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla will be on July 22nd.
Furthermore we got some extra info on the set. It will be a 4LP slipcase on good ol’ black vinyl – no color options. Artwork is done by Olly Moss and Jay Shaw (see pictures below) and the soundtrack will include music from the “Left Behind” DLC. As rumored the price have also been confirmed to be $75.
No word on any limitations, so I’m gonna guess that there will be plenty of these bad boys.
In a Twitter-post today, the long awaited vinyl version to Gustavo Santaolalla’s soundtrack for The Last Of Us was finally shown.
Supposedly a 3LP or 4LP with a price of $75 and should be available for purchase online by the end of July.
