In an announcement on the official Rocket League website today it was revealed that iam8bit will be releasing the Rocket League Soundtracks Vols. 1 & 2 as a collected 3LP vinyl set. The majority of the soundtrack is composed and performed by Mike Ault, but there’s a variety of other artists featured as well.
There will be 2 variants available. One will be a 3LP picture disc with rims from the game. This version is limited to 1000 copies. The other will be on colored vinyl with each disc in a different marbled color variant. A digital download for the soundtrack will be provided upon ordering.

Ultra Combo – the official Killer Instinct website – have announced that the soundtrack to the first Killer Instinct game will be released on vinyl via iam8bit. The soundtrack is composed by Robin Beanland and Graeme Norgate and is titled Killer Cuts.
There will be three different versions of the soundtrack – one on Sabrewulf purple vinyl, one on Spinal clear vinyl, and a limited edition Fulgore green vinyl version. What’s special about the Fulgore version is that it will only be for sale during the EVO weekend (July 15-17) and after that it will be sold out forever. Additionally, people who purchase the Fulgore variant are also entered in a draw to win the custom-made Fulgore puppet used for the cover art. A download code for the digital soundtrack is included as well.
The artwork on these is done by Cory Schmitz, Ben Sifel, Austin James & Seth Cuddeback, while the puppets for the artwork has been done by Chelsea Bayouth.
As a nice little touch the records end in a locked groove on side A which will play the “c-c-c-combo breaker” shout.
All 3 versions we go up for sale on Friday via iam8bit’s webstore at 9am PDT and are scheduled to release in October. They can be preordered from iam8bit’s US store here or their UK store here.
Black Screen Records teased this soundtrack a while back by posting a sound clip on social media of them playing the test pressing, but now the official announcement is out – Black Screen Records are releasing Joris de Man’s Velocity 2X soundtrack on vinyl.
The release will come on 2LP 180g vinyl with one disc on solid neon pink vinyl and the other on solid blue vinyl. The release also comes with an A2 poster with artwork from the game and an instant MP3 download of the digital soundtrack.

But that’s not all – if you’re feeling adventurous you can also preorder a mystery bundle containing the Velocity 2X soundtrack + the next 3 soundtracks from Black Screen Records. This bundle is €80 and is slightly cheaper than buying the albums individually. On the downside they won’t ship out until November. The mystery bundle can be preordered here.
Ship To Shore PhonoCo. tweeted a mockup of their previously announced Taito compilation today. It will feature music from Zuntata (the Taito Sound Team) and will be titled “Arcade Classics Volume One”.
It had previously been announced that we’d be getting some Night Striker music on vinyl and it looks like this is the release for that. In addition, this compilation will also feature music from the games Metal Black and Elevator Action Returns.
There are no specifics on a tracklist (other than what can be seen on the mockup label) and it appears that a solid blue color variant will be available.
No specific news on a release date either, but the mockup image was followed by the words “Coming very, very soon”, so I suspect we’ll be hearing more soon. I’ll update this post when more is announced.
UPDATE: The release will be priced at $25 and can be preordered from August 10 via Ship To Shore PhonoCo.’s webstore.
UPDATE: Ship To Shore PhonoCo. have tweeted two other variants of this release – yellow solid and classic black.
