Earlier this week Mondo announced that they would be releasing the soundtrack to the action adventure game Skelattack on vinyl, and now they have launched preorders.
The release will be a 180g 2LP available in two color variants – black vinyl and a limited edition white with grey splatter colored vinyl limited to 500 copies. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by JJ Harrison.
Stumpy Frog Records have just announced that they will be releasing the soundtrack to indie adventure game A Short Hike on vinyl.
The release will be a single LP on colored vinyl. There will be three different color variants – “sandy beach” (175 copies), “nature hike splatter” (175 copies), and “aurora borealis” color-in-color (150 copies). It will be housed in a gatefold LP jacket with new artwork by Saffron Aurora. It is limited to 500 hand-numbered copies.
Each copy will come with one of five different exclusive “Claire’s polaroids” fridge magnets. Additionally, the first 100 preorders will also receive a felt slipmat with design inspired by the game.
Wayô Records have launched a Kickstarter campaign for the recording of a new Chrono Cross piano collection album titled “Across The Worlds”.
The album will be arranged by Masashi Hamauzu, Mariam Abounassr, and Akio Noguchi and performed by Benyamin Nuss.
The vinyl release of the album will be a 2LP on 180g dark blue colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new art by Kiyoshi Arai. It will come with a booklet with liner notes and comments by the team involved with the project.
The campaign runs from June 7, 2020 and ends on July 7, 2020 and is looking to raise €25,000. The cheapest vinyl tier is priced at €50. If the campaign is successful they are expecting to release the album in December, 2020.
Laced Records have just announced that they will be releasing a soundtrack collection of music from the action-adventure game series Dishonored on vinyl. It will feature music from Dishonored, Dishonored 2, and Death Of The Outsider as well as official tribute tracks.
The release will be a 5LP box set on 180g “sea” blue colored vinyl. The box set will be a rigid slipcase with each record housed in an individual sleeve with game art.
The album will feature Space Quest Historian’s reorchestration of the soundtrack on side A (aka side Phleebhut) and James Mulvale’s take on the soundtrack (originally intended for a scrapped fan remake of the game) on side B (aka side Ortega).
If the campaign is successful the release will be a single LP on purple vinyl with red splatter. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket with upscaled game art.
To succeed the campaign will need at least 100 backers before July 4, 2020. The album is priced at $25 and if the campaign is succesful it is scheduled to ship out 2-3 months after the campaign ends.
Brave Wave announced a partnership with Sunsoft late last month and now we are seeing the fruits of that as they are opening preorders for the vinyl soundtracks to Blaster Master Zero and Blaster Master Zero 2. Both of these will be part of their Generation Series.
Both soundtracks will be available individually on 180g 2LP sets housed in gatefold jackets with game art. Additionally they will also be made available together in a 4LP box set housing both gatefold sets. The box set will come in two variants – a standard black variant as well as a limited edition variant on pink, red, blue and purple colored vinyl. The limited edition will be signed by composer Ippo Yamada and will be limited to 550 copies total.
All variants of these releases will include a booklet with artwork and liner notes from people involved with the game. A download card for a digital copy of the soundtrack will also be included.

Composer Chris Hülsbeck have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Qrates in order to fund a vinyl release of his music for the Commodore 64 music action-adventure game To Be On Top. The release will be titled “SID Anthology: To Be On Top Original Sound Version”.
If funded the release will be a single 12″ EP on gold colored vinyl. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket with the release title and the game’s opening screen on the front jacket.
