It’s not exactly new news that Spacelab9 will be releasing Jason Graves’ Far Cry Primal soundtrack at this point. It is, however, not until now that they’ve been ready to order.
The album will be a 2LP housed in a gatefold jacket sporting original game art. The release will come in 3 color variants – a white-in-blue translucent “glacier” variant, a brown opaque/translucent split with splatter “cave painting” variant, and a retail black variant.
The release date for the “glacier” and retail variants is April 21, 2017 while the “cave painting” will be out on April 25, 2017.
Today iam8bit put up a listing for Matthew “2 Mello” Hopkins’ soundtrack to the game 2064: Read Only Memories (previously known simply as Read Only Memories) on vinyl.
The release will be a single LP on 180g “Turing” blue vinyl and comes in a jacket with new original artwork by Kristen Liu-Wong. The release also comes with liner notes by Hopkins himself and a digital download code. The release will be limited to 1000 copies.
Almost exactly a year ago Mondo announced their partnership with Konami for a series fo vinyl soundtracks. Today they’re releasing the soundtrack to the first game in the horror game series Silent Hill. The soundtrack is composed by Akira Yamaoka, but credited to Konami Digital Entertainment on this release.
The release will be a 2LP in a gatefold jacket with brand new artwork by Sam Wolfe Connelly. The records will come in 2 variants – one on 180g clear vinyl with heavy white “snow fall” splatter, and one on 180g classic black vinyl.
Ship To Shore PhonoCo. announced last year that Zuntata’s soundtrack to 1987 shoot-em-up Darius would be the second entry in their Taito Arcade Classics series.
The release will be a single LP housed in a gatefold jacket with liner notes by composer Hisayoshi Ogura and games write Anthony Agnello. The release will be available in two color variants – ‘Silver Hawk, Player 1’ red and ‘Silver Hawk, Player 2’ blue.
It’s been a while since Brave Wave officially confirmed that they would be releasing the soundtracks to Ninja Gaiden 1-3 in two 2LP volumes. Today, however, we finally got to know when – and a whole lot more!
Vol. 1 of the two 2LP releases will contain newly remastered versions of the arcade and NES versions of the original Ninja Gaiden soundtrack. Vol. 2 will containg newly remastered versions of the NES soundtracks to Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos and Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom.
Vol. 1 comes on orange and red colored vinyl, while Vol. 2 comes on blue and green colored vinyl. They both come in gatefold jackets and includes a booklet each with artwork, interviewss and liner notes.
In addition to these two 2LP releases Brave Wave is also doing a super-limited box set in only 100 copies. This box set will include both 2LP sets and also comes with concept art and a post card signed by three of the series’ composers.
UPDATE: I’ve had it confirmed with Brave Wave that it is only the signed version of the box set which will be limited to 100 copies. There will be non-signed copies as well – and more than 100.
All 3 releases are scheduled to release on or around July 1, 2017. Preorders for all will open on April 13, 2017 via BigWax and Bandcamp.
Reformation 2 is based on a stretch goal from the first Reformation project, where Gray did remakes of tracks from other C64 composers. This means that Reformation 2 will be an entire album of remakes from other composers than Gray himself. The tracks aren’t set in stone, but according to the Kickstarter Gray is hoping to remake music from games such as Commando, Comic Bakery, Monty On The Run, Nemesis The Warlock, and more.
The vinyl version will be a black vinyl 2LP and also comes with FLAC and MP3 downloads of all tracks.
The Kickstarter launched today, April 8, 2017, and will end on April 30, 2017. If the campaign is succesful then vinyl rewards are planned to go out in September 2018 (and downloads in May 2018).
Black Screen Records have announced that they will be releasing Alkis Livathinos’ soundtrack to the game Hue on vinyl.
The release will be a 2LP on 180g vinyl. There will be two versions- one on blue and purple vinyl, and the other on classic black vinyl. It comes in a gatefold laser-cut jacket with original artwork. The vinyl version also comes liner notes, a download card and it includes 4 previously unreleased tracks.

Belgian band AutmnKid have launched a Kickstarter for their album SID Waves, which is a synth pop tribute to C64 music. To do this they’ve teamed up with C64Audio, who knows a lot about SID chip music and have worked on Kickstarter for music projects like this before. All music will be performed only using vintage 1980s synthesizers and the C64 SID sound chip.
The Kickstarter has a variety of different pledge tiers with different vinyl options, including black vinyl (€25), blue, and gold colored vinyl (both €30). Additionally a bonus 7″ will be included with all pledges at the €40 tier and higher. If you’re into other formats such as cassette tapes or CDs, then those are also available. Artwork for all formats of this release have been done by Trevor Storey.
The Kickstarter was launched on March 30, 2017 and will end on April 30, 2017. The goal is €9500 and the Kickstarter is already at more than €7000 as of writing this.
If the Kickstarter is succesful then physical rewards are planned for an October 2017 release.
Black Screen Records have announced that they will be releasing the soundtrack to Fabraz’ upcoming action-platformer Slime-san on vinyl.
The soundtrack is composed by the following handful of chiptune and electronic music artists: Richard Gould, Adhesive Wombat, Mischa Perella, FantomenK, Meganeko, Kommisar, Tiasu, Lumena-tan, Kubbi, Carl Clark, Inverse Phase, Saad Akter Ali, and Michael Miller.
The release will be a 2LP on 180g vinyl and comes in two color variants – solid green and black.
Yesterday Data Airlines announced a vinyl release of Dubmood & Zabutom’s soundtrack to the game Bad Television.
The release will be a 7″ record on red vinyl and will be limited to 350 copies.
