The vinyl release was confirmed by composer Bear McCreary a few days ago, and now Mondo have announced almost out of nowhere, that they are the ones releasing it.
The release will be a 180g 2LP available on both black and colored vinyl. They haven’t specified what the colors will be yet. It is housed in a jacket with printed inners and new artwork by Jeff Langevin.
It is priced at $35 and is scheduled to release mid-June 2018. It can be preordered from Mondo here now.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe have announced that they will be releasing Joris De Man’s soundtrack to Horizon Zero Dawn on vinyl.
The release will be a 4LP box set on white vinyl. The box is a slipcase-style box with the records housed in separate printed sleeves. The box and sleeve will feature new artwork made for this release.
Side H of the release will feature previously unreleased music from the game. The set is limited to 1500 copies and will currently only ship to select European countries – the UK, France, Germany and the Benelux countries.
The set is priced at £49 and is scheduled to ship out shortly. It can be ordered from PlayStation Gear here.
Seemingly out of nowhere several listings have appeared for a vinyl release of Hybrid’s soundtrack to the PS4-exclusive racing game Driveclub.
The soundtrack is comprised of Hybrid’s original tracks from the game along with several remixes by acclaimed electronic musicians such as Fuck Buttons, DJ Shadow, Photek, and many more.
The release will be on a double LP on red colored vinyl. It is being handled by Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe and is scheduled to release on September 30, 2016.
It is expected to be available from a range of European record stores as well as select US ones (where it will be available as an import title).
You can now order the The Last Of Us soundtrack on vinyl from Mondo’s webstore:
It’s a 4LP box set containing music from the game as well as the Left Behind DLC on black vinyl. It features art from Olly Moss and Jay Shaw and will set you back $75.
Update: First pressing has sold out, but Mondo has opened up for preorders for a second pressing with an estimated release in December.
Update 2: Mondo has stated that they will close preorders on August 7 (or earlier if the planned pressing quantity sells out).
Mondo have just announced in their newsletter that the release date for the upcoming The Last Of Us vinyl soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla will be on July 22nd.
Furthermore we got some extra info on the set. It will be a 4LP slipcase on good ol’ black vinyl – no color options. Artwork is done by Olly Moss and Jay Shaw (see pictures below) and the soundtrack will include music from the “Left Behind” DLC. As rumored the price have also been confirmed to be $75.
No word on any limitations, so I’m gonna guess that there will be plenty of these bad boys.
In a Twitter-post today, the long awaited vinyl version to Gustavo Santaolalla’s soundtrack for The Last Of Us was finally shown.
Supposedly a 3LP or 4LP with a price of $75 and should be available for purchase online by the end of July.
