Fangamer have been quiet with new releases recently, but that just changed as they’ve announced not one, not two, but three new soundtrack releases. First is the NES and Mega Drive/Genesis soundtracks to platformer Snake Rattle ‘N’ Roll, then the soundtrack to action-adventure Concrete Genie, and finally the VR platformer Astro Bot: Rescue Mission.
Snake Rattle ‘N’ Roll will be a single LP on clear with red and blue splatter colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Aimee Cairns. It will also include new liner notes by composer David Wise.
Concrete Genie will be a single LP on clear with pink, green, purple and blue splatter colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new art by Jeff Sangalli and Taylor Lambert and layout by Brian Carmody.
Astro Bot: Rescue Mission will be a single LP on white vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with new artwork by Chris Clancy and layout by Brian Carmody.
The vinyl release was confirmed by composer Bear McCreary a few days ago, and now Mondo have announced almost out of nowhere, that they are the ones releasing it.
The release will be a 180g 2LP available on both black and colored vinyl. They haven’t specified what the colors will be yet. It is housed in a jacket with printed inners and new artwork by Jeff Langevin.
The release will be a 4LP box set on white vinyl. The box is a slipcase-style box with the records housed in separate printed sleeves. The box and sleeve will feature new artwork made for this release.
Side H of the release will feature previously unreleased music from the game. The set is limited to 1500 copies and will currently only ship to select European countries – the UK, France, Germany and the Benelux countries.
A listing for a 12″ with two Low Roar songs used in the trailers for the upcoming PlayStation 4 game Death Stranding have appeared on Mondo’s website.
The 12″ will come on 180g clear vinyl with heavy black splatter. It comes in a regular jacket with artwork by Randy Ortiz.
It’s still unclear whether these songs will feature in the final game and also unclear when the game by Hideo Kojima will release. However, we do know that preorders are live now via Mondo’s site and that this release is scheduled to go out in February 2017.
Today iam8bit announced that they will release the soundtrack to the Naughty Dogs’ newly released game Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The score is done by Henry Jackman and the release will feature new artwork by Ashley Wood.
The artwork will be revealed on May 12 at 9AM PDT where preorders will open as well.
This post will be updated with more specifics on this release as well as links to preorder after the reveal.
UPDATE 12/5: Preorders are now live. There’s two different variants (see images at further down). One is a green/black merge at $35 and the other is an “Avery Coin” picture disc at $40. The picture disc is limited to 500 copies.
