God Of War 20th anniversary vinyl box set now up for preorder via Laced Records

Laced Records are releasing an all-game-spanning vinyl soundtrack box set for the God Of War series for the series’ 20th anniversary alongside standalone releases for the soundtracks to the Greek trilogy.

The box set will include 13 LPs with music from God Of War (2005), God Of War 2, God Of War 3, Ascension, Chains Of Olympus, Ghost Of Sparta, God Of War (2018), Ragnarok, the Ragnarok Valhalla DLC, and the Lofi Beats To Journal To arrangement album.

The Greek trilogy releases will released as separate 2LP releases.

The box set will be available in three color variants – a limited edition white and red striped + white and blue striped colored vinyl, a limited edition on alternating white, red and blue colored vinyl, and a standard edition on black vinyl.
The box set will be a large slipcase with game art, leather effect and gold foil with the records being housed in spined jackets (one for each main game) within.

The trilogy releases will each be a 2LP available in three color variants – a limited edition white and red striped colored vinyl, a limited edition on red and white colored vinyl, and a standard edition on black vinyl.

The box set will be priced at £250/$300 and the 2LP sets at £36/$42 each. All versions of these releases are set to come out in October, 2025. They can be preordered via Laced Records here.

Ape Escape vinyl box set now up for preorder via Cartridge Thunder

Cartridge Thunder are releasing the acclaimed soundtrack to 1999 PlayStation platformer Ape Escape on vinyl. The release will include the full soundtrack except for the tracks that were included on the recently released Apes In The Net EP (for licensing reasons).

The release will be a 4LP on red translucent, white, yellow and blue colored vinyl. It will be housed in a slipcase box set with new artwork by Gobo3D. It will include liner notes by composer Soichi Terada.

It is priced at $88 and is scheduled to release in Q1 2025. It can be preordered via Cartridge Thunder here.

New The Last Of Us vinyl box set now available to preorder from Sony Classical

Sony Classical are releasing the soundtrack to The Last Of Us and its Left Behind DLC together on vinyl in celebration of the game’s 10th anniversary. The tracks included the same as that of the Mondo box set and their vols. 1 and 2 vinyl releases, although with a slightly altered track distribution.

The release will be a 4LP set with the base game soundtrack on red colored vinyl and the Left Behind soundtrack on blue colored vinyl.
It will be housed in a slipcase box set with individual printed jackets all featuring new artwork by Ashraf Omar. It will also include two art lithographs and a double-sided insert.

It is priced at $100 and is scheduled to release around June 28, 2024. It can be preordered via Milan Records here and the PlayStation Gear store here.

Lapsus Records releasing newly remastered wipEout score on vinyl

Lapsus Records are releasing a newly remastered version of the original score by CoLD SToRAGE to 1995’s classic futuristic racing game wipEout alongside 8 new remixes on vinyl. Please note that this does not include the licensed tracks from the game.

The release will be a 3LP set available in two color variants – a Lapsus-exclusive silver colored vinyl variant, and a standard black vinyl variant. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Basora. The silver edition will also include two art inserts and a sticker set.
Bundles with hoodies are also available.

It is priced at €39 for the black set and €45 for the silver set and it is set to release around November 17, 2023. It can be preordered via Lapsus Records’ Bandcamp here.

The Last Of Us vinyl reissue now available to preorder from Music On Vinyl

Music On Vinyl have announced that they will do a reissue of the soundtrack to popular action-adventure zombie game The Last Of Us on vinyl. Compared to the previous releases from Mondo, this will include the Volume One soundtrack.

The release will be a 2LP available in three color variants – a white and black marble variant (300 numbered copies, exclusive to Music On Vinyl’s store), a black and silver marble variant (1500 numbered copies), and a black vinyl variant.
It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with game art and comes with printed inner sleeves and an 8-page booklet with liner notes.

Astro’s Playroom vinyl soundtrack now available from Fangamer

Fangamer have just opened up orders for the soundtrack to platforming game/PS5 tutorial Astro’s Playroom on vinyl.

The release will be a 2LP on white colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Jordan Speer. It will also include a fold-out booklet.

It is priced at $39 and is in-hand and ready to ship. It can be preordered from Fangamer here.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Ghost Of Tsushima DLC music vinyl soundtrack coming from Milan Records

Milan Records are ready with preorders for two heavy-hitter soundtracks. One is for the soundtrack to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and the other is the Iki Island and Legends DLC music from Ghost Of Tsushima.

Ratchet & Clank will be a 2LP available in four different vinyl color variants:
– Orange and pink marble (retail variant)
– Grey with black and white splatter (Light In The Attic exclusive)
– Brown with black and yellow swirl (Newbury Comics exclusive)
– Blue with black and white swirl (Vinylluxe exclusive)
It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Shan Jiang. It will also include an insert with game art and credits.

Ghost Of Tsushima will be a single LP available in five different vinyl color variants:

New God Of War pressing coming from Music On Vinyl

Music On Vinyl have announced a new vinyl pressing of the soundtrack to the 2018 God of War game. The new pressing will feature the same tracks as the 2018 release from Mondo.

The release will be a 180g 2LP on clear with black marble colored vinyl. It will be housed in a “leather laminate” finish gatefold jacket with game art. It will be limited to 1000 individually numbered copies.

It is priced at around €34 (although it will vary between retailers) and is scheduled to release around December 12, 2021. You can read more details on Music On Vinyl’s website here, and it will be sold via various online and physical stores.

The Last Of Us Part II: Covers And Rarities vinyl preorder up via Mondo

Mondo are releasing an EP with the acoustic cover version tracks played in The Last Of Us Part II on vinyl.

The release will be a 45RPM 12″ EP available in two 180g vinyl color variants – a blue-in-clear with red splatter colored variant, and a black vinyl variant.
It will be housed in a regular LP jacket with new artwork by Dani Pendergast.

It is priced at $25 and they are scheduled to ship in November, 2021. Do note that as of this post the first run of the colored variant is sold out, but they have a preorder up for another pressing shipping in March, 2022.

Mondo have opened up preorders for the soundtrack to The Last Of Us Part II

That Mondo is releasing The Last Of Us-related prints and records on Outbreak Day is almost tradition at this point – and this year is no different as they have opened up vinyl preorders for the soundtrack to The Last Of Us Part II.

The release will be a 2LP on 180g vinyl available in two color variants – a standard black variant and a orange and a blue color-in-color with splatter variant.
It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Tula Lotay and will include an insert with liner notes by game director Neil Druckmann.

It is priced at $35 and the first (and as of this post sold-out) pressing will release in December, 2020, while a second pressing which is available now will ship in January, 2021.
