Gabriel Knight arrangement album “Synths Of The Fathers” up for vinyl crowdfunding on Qrates

The Space Quest Historian’s label have launched a new Qrates vinyl crowdfunding campaign. This time for an arrangement album covering the music from the point-and-click adventure game Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Father on an album titled “Synths Of The Fathers”.

If successful the release will be a 2LP on blue and red translucent colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by George Avdoulos and liner notes by original composer Robert Holmes.

The campaign runs from now and until May 9, 2022. It is priced at $48 and if successful it is planned to release 2-3 months after the campaign ends. It can be backed on Qrates here.

Duke Nukem 3D arrangement EP can now be backed on vinyl via Qrates

Space Quest Historian have launched a new Qrates campaign for a vinyl EP with EBM/industrial arrangements of music from Duke Nukem 3D.

If successful the release will be a 12″ EP on yellow, light orange and dark orange tri-color colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket.

The campaign runs from now and until February 25, 2022. It is priced at $27 and needs 200 backers to succeed. If successful it’s scheduled to ship around 2-3 months after the campaign ends.

King’s Chill Vol. 2 now up for vinyl preorder via Qrates

Space Quest Historian’s label Two Guys Records have just launched a vinyl crowdfunding campaign for the second volume in the King’s Chill series of lo-fi/synth arrangements of music from King’s Quest. Vol. 2 is subtitled “to chill is human, to vibe is divine”.

The release will be a single LP on “ivory” yellow and “sky” blue split colored vinyl. It will be housed in a single-pocket jacket with artwork by EpicPotatoFiend.

The campaign will run from now and until December 10, 2021. It is priced at $22 and if successful it is scheduled to release 2-3 months after the campaign ends (although off-the-record that seems like a very optimistic estimate given the current state of vinyl production).

Chill King’s Quest vinyl arrangement album up for backing on Qrates

Two Guys Records have launched a Qrates crowdfunding campaign for a chill-out/electronica reimagining of music from the King’s Quest adventure games.

If successful the release will be a single LP on a “psychedelic” blue and green swirl colored vinyl. It will be housed in a single pocket jacket with artwork by EpicPotatoFiend and Jon Paul Sapsford.

The campaign runs from now and until May 5, 2021 and needs at least 200 backers in order to become successful. It is priced at $17 and if successful it is scheduled to release around August, 2021. It can be backed on Qrates here.

Space Quest 6 Reorchestrated can now be backed on Qrates

The Space Quest Historian is at it again and this time he has launched a Qrates campaign for his reorchestrated version of the soundtrack to Space Quest 6: Roger Wilco In The Spinal Frontier.

If successful the release will be a 2LP on 180g green translucent colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket.

The campaign is live from today and runs for 30 days. It is priced at €51.15 and will need 100 backers to be successful. There is currently not an ETA for when these will ship if the campaign is successful.

Space Quest V Reorchestrated 2LP can now be backed on Qrates

The Space Quest Historian is back with yet another reorchestrated Space Quest album. This time it’s Space Quest V: The Next Mutation, which is now available to back on vinyl on Qrates.

If the campaign is successful the release will be a 2LP with one record on orange with green splatter and the other on green with orange splatter colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with game art upscaled by Brandon Blume.

To succeed the campaign will need at least 200 backers before September 1, 2020. The album is priced at €31.20 and if the campaign is succesful it is scheduled to ship out 2-3 months after the campaign ends.

Reorchestrated version of the Space Quest III soundtrack can be backed on vinyl on Qrates

After a successful crowdfunding campaign for his reorchestrated version of the Space Quest IV soundtrack the Space Quest Historian is now back with a new campaign for a reorchestrated take on the Space Quest III soundtrack.

The album will feature Space Quest Historian’s reorchestration of the soundtrack on side A (aka side Phleebhut) and James Mulvale’s take on the soundtrack (originally intended for a scrapped fan remake of the game) on side B (aka side Ortega).

If the campaign is successful the release will be a single LP on purple vinyl with red splatter. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket with upscaled game art.

To succeed the campaign will need at least 100 backers before July 4, 2020. The album is priced at $25 and if the campaign is succesful it is scheduled to ship out 2-3 months after the campaign ends.

Space Quest IV reorchestrated album can be backed on Qrates

Space Quest Historian have launched a Qrates campaign for a vinyl release of his “Space Quest IV – Reorchestrated and Remixed” album.

As per the Qrates campaign description “the music has been reorchestrated with modern sound patches, but uses the original MIDI data from the game“. The campaign is non-profit and funds will only be used for the production of the vinyl release.

If the campaign is succesful the release will be a single LP on blue-in-black colored vinyl. It will be housed in a regular LP jacket with new artwork.

To succeed the campaign will need at least 100 backers before March 2, 2020. The album is priced at €18.72 and if the campaign is succesful it is scheduled to ship out 2-3 months after the campaign ends.
