G4F Records have launched preorders for a vinyl soundtrack release to action adventure game Strayed Lights.
The release will be a 2LP on 180g blue and orange translucent colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with game art.
It is priced at €40 and is scheduled to release in November, 2023. It can be preordered via G4F Records here.
Laced Records have just opened up preorders for a soundtrack compilation to open world action-adventure series Assassin’s Creed on vinyl for the series’ 15th anniversary. It will feature a selection of music from all 12 mainline games.
The release will be a 5LP box set available in two color variants – a limited edition gold “nugget” colored variant and a standard black variant.
It will be housed in a rigid slipcase box set with game art. The limited edition will also include a slipmat and an art print.
It is priced at £100 for the limited and £90 for the standard and is scheduled to release in January, 2023. The limited edition can be preordered from Laced here and the standard edition here.
Journey-composer Austin Wintory recently released an arrangement album recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra celebrating Journey’s 10th anniversary. Now he has launched a vinyl pressing campaign via Bandcamp to get it released on vinyl – including a bonus track from Flow recorded in the same session.
The release will be a 2LP on black vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by Angela Bermudez.
It is priced at $45 and the campaign runs from now and until April 28, 2022. As of this post the campaign has nearly doubled its initial goal and is scheduled to release in September, 2022. It can be backed via Bandcamp here.
iam8bit have just announced that they are releasing the soundtrack to the upcoming action-adventure game The Pathless on vinyl.
The release will be a 2LP with one record on “cleansed” blue and the other on “cursed” red colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Elaine Lee.
It is priced at $40 and is scheduled to release in Q1 2021. It can be preordered from iam8bit here.

Supergiant Games have just announced a new orchestral recording of the vocals tracks from their games Bastion, Transistor, Pyre, and Hades. The album is titled “The Songs Of Supergiant Games: The 10th Anniversary Orchestral Collection”.
The album will be available in two variants. A standard edition single LP on red translucent vinyl, and a limited edition 2LP on 180g black vinyl cut at 45RPM. The limited edition will be limited to 1000 copies numbered and signed by composer Darren Korb.
Both will be housed in gatefold jackets with slightly different artwork on the front jacket between both versions. They will also include a 24-page booklet and a digital download code.
The standard edition is priced at $40 and the limited edition at $80. Both are scheduled to release Autumn 2020.

Black Screen Records have just announced that they will be releasing the Austin Wintory score for the interactive adventure game Erica on vinyl.
The release will be a black vinyl 2LP cut at 45RPM. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with art from the game.
It is priced at €32 and is scheduled to release in early March, 2020. Preorders placed before December 31, 2019 will be signed by the game’s creative director Jack Attridge.

It was confirmed by Austin Wintory last year, but now there’s an official announcement from iam8bit as well – the soundtrack to The Banner Saga 3 is getting a vinyl release. They have also previously released the soundtracks to The Banner Saga and The Banner Saga 2.
The release will be a 180g 2LP with one record on black and the other on silver colored vinyl. It will be housed in a gatefold jacket with new artwork by Arnie Jorgensen. The release will also include a download card for a digital copy of the soundtrack.

Varèse Sarabande have announced that they are releasing Austin Wintory’s soundtrack to the game Tooth And Tail on vinyl. This will be Varèse Sarabande’s first video game soundtrack release on vinyl.
While the majority of compositions are by Wintory himself he’s also brought in several known composers and soloists for some of the songs such as HyperDuck Soundworks, Salome Scheidegger, Darren Korb and more.
The release will be a 2LP on black vinyl and is housed in a gatefold jacket. The vinyl release has slightly different artwork from its digital and CD counterparts.
It is priced at currently priced at $32.50 on Amazon, but the prices varies slightly from different retailers. It released on December 15, 2017 and is shipping now.

The release will be a 2LP on red vinyl. The records are housed in a gatefold jacket featuring new artwork by El Huervo aka. Niklas Akerblad.
The release is priced at €33 and is scheduled to release in Q4 2017.

Today iam8bit announced that they will be releasing Austin Wintory’s score to the diving exploration game Abzû.
The album will be available as a 2LP set on 180g oceanic blue vinyl and will come with original cover artwork done by Nimit Malavia. As an early preorder incentives orders placed during the Black Friday weekend (November 25th to 28th) will feature a special bioluminescent/glow-in-the-dark cover. Orders placed after that will come in a regular cover – the glow-in-the-dark effect will be the only difference.
iam8bit are no strangers to Austin Wintory’s works as they’ve previously released his Journey and The Banner Saga scores as well as releasing his The Banner Saga 2 score this December.
The set will be priced at $35 and is scheduled to release in Q1 2017. Preorders will open on November 25th, 2016 via iam8bit’s US store here and their UK/EU store here.
